- Mr Thomas Klippert gashed with a Knife.
Mr. Thomas Klippert, who is employed in the harness and leather department, on the third flat of the Boehmer Co's store Was severely injured last evening, sustaining a nasty cut in the chest. He had put his trimming knife into his pocket and jumped over several rolls of carpet to secure some material, and in so doing thrust the knife into his body, inflicting a painful wound. The cut bled profusely, in a short time his clothing being saturated with blood. Medical assistance was procured and the injury attended to, but Mr. Klippert is not able to be at his post to-day.

THOMAS KLIPPERT
A prominent shoemaker in this city for the past 40 years, Thomas Klippert. age 83. 126 Shanley street, died at K-W Hospital Saturday. Deceased was born in Waterloo in May, 1855. Mr. Klippert was a member of Benton Street Baptist church and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years His first wife, Rosanna Reichle, predeceased him in 1894.
Surviving are his widow, nee Elizabeth Eschleman, two sons, E T. Klippert of Chicago, George F. of Los Angeles, Cal, three daughters, Mrs. O M Wachsmuth of Chatham, Miss Christina of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs Marcel Pequegnat of Kitchener, two brothers, Fred Pfaff of Detroit, Mich, Adam Pfaff of Elmwood, one sister, Miss Christina Pfaff of Elmwood, 12 grand-children and two great-grandchildren. One son, Herbert, predeceased him.
The funeral was held this afternoon from Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home to the Benton Street church and thence to Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev C M. Keen officiated.
