    • KILLED IN ACTION

Sgt. Frederick George Brezina, R.C.A.F., 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Brezina, 50 Albert St. S.

Sgt. Brezina, a bombardier with the R.C.A.F. overseas, was killed in action July 18, at Delmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland. He was buried at St. Dunure Cemetery, Ayrshire, at two o'clock, July 22.

That is the information received by his parents by telegram and letter within the past few days. Sgt. Brezina is the third oldest of the family of four sons, all serving in the air force.

Wilfred works with air force equipment somewhere in France; PO. Laverne is serving in England; Harry is an instructor at the Polson, Man., station. The four boys were members of the Scots Fusiliers reserve unit before enlisting.

Fred was born and educated in Kitchener, and worked at the B. F. Goodrich Rubber Co. of Canada, Ltd., before joining the air force, Dec. 9, 1941. He left for overseas Sept. 3, 1943.

The airman was a talented enter tainer and lightning cartoonist, and planned to make a career as an en tertainer after the war. 31/44
