- Bierwagen, Carl (Charlie) - At his residence, 247 Franklin St., N., Kitchener, on Monday, Jan. 13, 1975, after a brief illness, Charlie Bierwagen, formerly of 34 Walter St., Bridgeport, aged 90 years; a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport; had been employed at Baetz Bros. Furniture Co. Ltd. as a cabinet maker for 50 years, until his retirement in 1959. Husband of Louise Carruthers; father of Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Sawyer of Owen Sound, Mrs. Edward (Hilda) Pfeffer of Kitchener, Mrs. Harold (Del) Schaefer of Elmira; four grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. He was the last surviving member of his family; predeceased by his parents and five sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, where the funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m., with Rev. Ralph W. Huras officiating. Internment will be in Bridgeport Union cemetery. Donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church building fund may be made as expressions of sympathy.
