    • Death of an Aged Resident of Waterloo Township

      Death comes to all, and it came to William Henderson, English settlement, which is near the dividing line of Dumfries and Waterloo townships, just before the hour of twelve o'clock struck, Friday night. The deceased was an old man, 84 years, having elapsed since his birth took place in Scotland. He immigrated to Canada in 1832, Galt being his destination. He did not remain here long however, settling in Dumfries, in 1848, he removed to Blair and ten years later went to Doon, which was his home until eight years ago, when he took up his residence with his son, William E. Henderson, near Blair. The late Mr. Henderson was a hosier by trade, at which he worked until recent years. He was well known through-out the country and was respected by all. He was one of the founders of the Doon Presbyterian church and was one of the elders for well on to forty years. The funeral took place from the residence of his only son, near Blair, on Monday, at 2 o'clock, to the Doon cemetery.
