At his residence, Sunny Bank, Woolwich, Ont., on the 21st ult., Mr. Thomas Halifax Lanphier, son of the late William Henry Lanphier, L.L.D., Sunbury, Middlesex, England, aged 61 years. He was born and educated in Sunbury. At an early age he entered the navy, and in the year 1835 procured his discharge, and came to America, and settled in Woolwich, on the farm adjoining Sunny Bank. He was a man of large means and kind heart, and was never slow to aid the distressed, and many now comfortable homes can date their early prosperity to his helping hand. He leaves a widow and two daughters to mourn his loss.
