- Mrs. Smith, who died at London on June 20th, came to Haysville with her parents in 1836, and over fifty years ago married William Simpson Smith At that time he kept the corner store which was burnt down over a year ago and carried on a successful business for a number of years. He then moved to Fergus, where he stopped a couple of years, and then moved to London, where he carried on a successful business which his sons have carried on since his death, which occurred a number of years ago. Mrs. Smith was the youngest daughter, and two brothers and a sister survive her, James Brown, Haysville, George, postmaster, Shakespeare, and Jane, (Mrs. Little) Puslinch township.
