    • August Hartmann, aged 51, succumbed to a lingering illness, Bright's disease, of many months on Sunday evening. He was the eldest son of the late Joseph Hartmann. His wife, Rosina, daughter of John Buckel, sr., survives him, also ten out of a family of thirteen children. Mr. Hartmann has been a prominent man for many years, taking a great interest in all matters pertaining to the good of the village at the Council Board of which he was several years a member.
