    • Mrs. John Liphardt Passes Away at Her Home In her 59th Year.

      Death has removed another respected citizen of Waterloo in the person of Elizabeth Hoffman, wife of Mr. John Liphardt, who died at 1: 45 o'clock on Thursday. About two years ago she suffered a paralytic stroke but had enjoyed fairly good health up to about a week ago Wednesday when she sustained another paralytic stroke and which terminated fatally.

      The late Mrs. Liphardt was a daughter of the late George Hoffman, Waterloo, and has been a resident of Waterloo for over fifty years. She was in her fifty-ninth year.

      A family of eleven children survive, viz: Sophia (Mrs. Leitch); Lizzie (Mrs. Geo. Gleiser); George, Henry, Mrs. Isaac Ross, Galt, John, Edward, Charles, Tillie, Oscar, Elma.

      Five brothers also survive: George, Henry, Charles, of Waterloo; John, Buffalo, Adam, Michigan.
      The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence to St. John's Lutheran Church for service, thence to Mount Hope cemetery.
      Among those from a distance who attended the funeral of the late Mrs. John Lippert on Sunday were Mrs. John Hoffman, Alger, Mich., Mr. John Strome, Millbank; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Holtzworth, Elmira, Mrs. Adam Liphardt, Shakespeare, Miss Peine, New Hamburg, Mrs. C[?]. Roselle[?], Chicago; Mr. Louis […?], Miss L. Peine of New Hamburg and Mr. Jacob Liphardt of St. Jacobs.
