    • CHARLES BILKER
      Charles Hilker, 73, of 35 Church St., Elmira died at K-W Hospital Saturday, Feb. 25, after a short illness. Born at Hawkesville, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hilker. His wife, the former Annie Frey, predeceased him in 1959. Mr. Hilker was employed at Silverwoods, Ltd., in Elmira as a stationary engineer for 38 years. He retired in 1955. He was a member of Zion Evangelical UB Church at Elmira. Surviving are four sons, Clarence, Elmer and William, all of Elmira, and Charles, Jr., of Kitchener; one daughter, Mrs. Carrie Schade of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Stauck of Kitchener, Mrs. Herman Strum of Waterloo; five brothers, Frederick of Chatham, George of Kitchener, John of Ribstone, Alta., Clayton of Waterloo, Milton of Florida; and 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two daughters, two sisters and two brothers predeceased him. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where service was held in the chapel Monday. Interment was in Memory Gardens, Breslau. Rev. J. W. Siebert officiated.
