    • WILLIAM ELSLEY.

      On Monday afternoon the funeral of the late Wm. Elsley proceeded from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Robinson. 158 Oxford street, to the old Methodist burying ground in Winterbourne, North Oxford. The late Mr. Elsley was in his 93rd year. He was one of the pioneers of North Oxford, but for some time he had lived retired from his farm. At the graveside, which is in the old unused burying ground, an old friend, Rev. Mr. Lynn, took the occasion to eulogize this staunch old settler's memory in appropriate terms. The remains were laid to rest by sons and sons-in-law: Messrs. J. Elsley, L. C., A. D., W. Elsley and J. Robinson and S. W. Moore.
