  Catharine Martin, "was born December 24th, 1830. She is still living and resides in Elmira. She was first married to Moses Musselman with whom she had a family of fifteen children. After her first husband's decease she was married to the late Peter Winger of Elmira." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ________________ The funeral of the late Mrs. Peter Winger held on Monday afternoon; the remains were interred in the Mennonite cemetery, Rev. W. J. Zimmerman officiated and preached both English and German, in the Evangelical church, which was well filled. The late Mrs. Winger was born, near St. Jacobs on Dec. 24th, 1830, her maiden name being Catherine Martin. October 7th, 1851 she was married to Moses Musselman and to them was born a family of 15 children, eleven of whom are still living. These are: Susannah (Mrs. M. D. Hembling), of Spruce Grove, Alta; Dilman, of the same place; Annie (Mrs. Robert Walker), of Berlin; Levi, of Edmonton, Alta.; Samuel, of Schoolcraft Co., Mich; Ezra, of Seneca Falls, N. Y.; Noah, of Rochester, N. Y.; Cleason of Centreville, Ont.; Melissa and Emanuel, of Elmira. The husband of the deceased died in 1884, and in 1887 she was married a second time, namely to the late Peter Winger, who died about two years afterwards. For a number of years she and her daughter remained in the old Peter Winger home, and for the last couple of years they have lived with the youngest son, Mr. Emanuel Musselman, Elmira, where she received every necessary care and attention to ease the way of her declining years. Bronchitis and heart trouble was immediate cause of death.
