      Death of Mrs. Clemens.-
On Saturday morning, April 23rd, occurred the death of Lucinda Huber, beloved wife of Mr. D. H. Clemens. Deceased had been in poor health for some months and her death though sudden was not unexpected, heart failure being the immediate cause. The late Mrs. Clemens was born in Blenheim township on November 12th 1852. In 1872 she was united in marriage with David H. Clemens, which union was blessed with nine children. To her husband she was a loving companion and to her children, a kind and indulgent mother. She was of a cheerful disposition and her many friends were always given a warm reception to her home. For many years the family lived on the old Huber homestead two miles east of Washington, but five years ago moved to Plattsville. Deceased was for many years a member of the Evangelical church where she always endeavored to be of some effective service, having taught a Sunday School class of girls who greatly mourn their loss. Deceased leaves to mourn her loss, a sorrowing husband, 6 sons, one of whom is the Rev. A. Clemens, stationed at Rainham, Ont., daughters, 2 grandsons, 4 sisters besides many other relatives and a host of friends. All the members of the family were present at the funeral except Roy of California.

The funeral took place from her late residence on Tuesday. The remains were taken to the Evangelical church where service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Amacher assisted by Rev. Mr. Hauch. Interment took place at the Blenheim cemetery.
