  Hilda McDonald Former long-time Ayr resident, Anna Hilda Rohr, died at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, February 10th, 1999. Mrs. McDonald was in her 94th year. Born in Roseville, she was a daughter of the late Laura Hallman and Samuel Rohr. Mrs. McDonald was a very active member of the Ayr community. She was a long-time member of Knox United Church and the Women's Institute. Predeceased by her husband J. D. (Jack) McDonald in 1971, she is survived by two sons and one daughter - Ken (Diggs) and his wife Marilyn of Orillia, Bob and his wife Ann of Ayr and Barb of Paris; grandchildren Kelly, Susan, Jill, Sheena, Duncan, Heather, Jessie and Natalie; great-grandchildren Emily and Lilly; and by her sister Reta Bierman of New Dundee. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Eldon, Leslie and Chester and sisters Iva and Greta. Friends were received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at Knox United Church on Saturday, February 13th at 3 p.m. Reverend Fred Hagle officiated. Spring interment will be in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News 17 Feb 1999 pg 12
