    • Charles W. Palmer

      PRESTON - Charles William Palmer, 80, of 717 Hespeler St., Preston, died Monday at his home after an illness of one year. Born in London, Eng., he came here in 1903, where he remained ever since. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church and had been secretary-treasurer of the Sons of England Lodge until 1931. His wife, the former Mary Kate Norey, predeceased him. Surviving are four sons, James and Reginald of Preston, Harry of Galt and Lesley of Hespeler, and six daughters, Mrs. W. (Kate) Gordon, Miss Annie, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Reidel and Mrs. William (Constance) Lambert, all of Preston, Mrs. Gordon ( Rose) MacDonald of Brantford and Mrs. Stanley (Lillian) Krawczivk of Detroit. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted, Thursday, at 2: 30 p.m., at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, Preston, where the body is resting, with Rev. R. Appleyard officiating. Interment will be at the Park Lawn Cemetery, Preston.
