  BECKER, Mrs. Effie - Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 1, 1987, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Jack Schiedel, the former Effie Fern Brighton, aged 80 years, of 24 Midland Drive, Kitchener. Dear mother of Charlotte and her husband Jack Schiedel of Kitchener; loving grandmother of Marilyn, Barry and Robert Shantz and his wife Marilyn; great-grandmother of Michael and Rebecca; sister of Ross Brighton and his wife Erma; sister-in-law of Edna Brighton; mother-in-law of Abram Shantz. Predeceased by her husband, R. Howard in 1970; her daughter Jean Shantz in 1985; her sister Irene Petzold and her brother, Delton Brighton. Mrs. Becker was a lifelong member of Stanley Park United Brethren in Christ Church, Kitchener, the Women's Missionary Association of the church and the Ladies' Guild; the K-W Hospital Auxiliary and a former chartered member of the K-W Opti Mrs. Visitation at the Ratz-Bechel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 2 p.m. today (Thursday), continuing until the time of the funeral and committal service, on Friday at 2-30 p.m. in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, Rev. Martin Magnus and Rev. Robert Gates will conduct the service. Interment Woodland cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the K-W Hospital Equipment Fund or the World's Christian Endeavor Fund gratefully acknowledged.
