  Henry Schlichter, "was born in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, in 1789. He was married to Barbara Wismer and came to Canada with his parents. They settled near Preston where he died of cholera, August 11th, 1834, and she died August 10th, 1834, of the same dreaded disease, aged 42 years. To them were born three children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
