    • Mrs. William Heeley

      PRESTON, Well-known resident of Preston for 40 years, Mrs. William Heeley, 79, died suddenly, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Mitchell, 1351 King street, Preston, last night. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Word of her death came as a shock to friends. Mrs. Heeley, (nee) Sarah Ann Taylor, was bornin England, Oct. 21, 1874 and came to Canada, directly to Preston in 1913. She was married in England Feb. 28, 1900. Her husband predeceased her nine years ago. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church. Surviving are three sons, Thomas Heeley of Hamilton; Joseph of Preston and Robert of Acton; two daughters, Mrs. Bert (Elizabeth) Gill of Ayr, and Mrs. William (Violet) Mitchell of Preston; two brothers, Robert Taylor of Galt and Charles Taylorin England; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Elsie, predeceased her in 1908 in England. The body is at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Friday, at 2 p.m. Rev. B. T. Appleyard will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
