  Mrs. William J. Smith PRESTON, Mrs. William J. Smith of 607 Vine St., died Sunday at Victoria Hospital, London, Ont. She was 81. Mrs. Smith was the former Myrtle Roesgen and was born in Preston. She had resided here all her life and was a member of St. Paul's United Church, a life member of the United Church Women and also a member of the Golden Rule Sunday school class. She was predeceased by her husband in 1960. Surviving are four sons, Harold and Donald, both of Galt; Kenneth of Preston and Gordon of Venice, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Grace) Lund of Galt and Mrs. Norman (Mary) McKenzie of Grimsby, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where funeral and committal services will be conducted Tuesday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Preston cemetery.
