  Robert Ogram was baptised on 31 Mar 1805 at North Dalton, East Yorkshire, one of nine children of Thomas Ogram (b. 1768 North Dalton, East Yorkshire, d. 1854 Driffield District, East Yorkshire) and Elizabeth Braithwaite (b. 1771 Nafferton, East Yorkshire, d. 1861 Driffield District, East Yorkshire), who married on 08 Jun 1790 at Lissett, East Yorkshire. Robert's wife Mary Milner, b. 04 Oct 1803, was baptised on 09 Oct 1803 at Garton-on-the-Wolds, daughter of William Milner and Susannah Marson, who married on 04 Aug 1792 at Nafferton, East Yorkshire. Robert's daughter Susan was baptised as Susannah, so named after her grandmother. Robert Ogram's sons Thomas and William are shown as having emigrated to Canada in 1846 but if the family emigrated as a whole they must have done so before 9 Oct 1844, the birth of Robert B Ogram - And after 22 Aug 1841, the baptism of Susannah. Robert had another English born son, James Ogram, who was baptised on 22 Feb 1835 at North Dalton, East Yorkshire.
