    • MARTIN, Rev. Nelson M. - Nelson went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, May 7, 1996, at Leesburg Regional Medical Centre, Florida, after a seven week illness.

      He was born in Waterloo County, January 23, 1928, a son of the late Amos C. and Louisa Martin and was also predeceased by his step-mother, Minerva Martin.

      Nelson had served in pastoral ministry in the Mennonite Church for 35 years at Bothwell, Glen Allan, St. Agatha (Ontario) and most recently at Sunnyside (Conneaut Lake, PA) retiring in June 1995. For many years he was also actively involved in the family tile business in Wallenstein and Parkhill. Nelson was a loving and gentle man and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
      Loving husband of Wilma (Augsburger) Martin whom he married September 29, 1956. Dear father of Bev and her husband, Arnie Martin of Exeter, Charlene and her husband K.J. Weinberger of Kitchener, Karen and her husband Marvin Hartwig of Killaloe, Ray and his wife Sue Martin of Wellesley and Carl Martin of Kitchener. He was a very special grandpa to eight grandchildren, Ben, Janelle, Lucas, Nichole, Jessica, Justin, Kyle and Natasha. Lovingly remembered by three brothers and three sisters, Henry and his wife Irene Martin of Wallenstein, Emerson and his wife Anna Martin of Elmira, Velina and her husband Amos Martin of Parkhill, Mary and her husband Cleason Weber of Elmira, Clarence and his wife Eva Martin of Moorefield and Verna Martin of Waterloo. Also missed by two step-brothers and two step-sisters, Delber and his wife Lavina Martin, Eileen and her husband Amsey Martin, all of Elmira and Pearl and her husband Leonard Heintz of Atwood.

      Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Saturday, May 11, 1996 at noon, transfer will be made to Steinmann Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden, for the service at 2:30 p.m. Burial to follow in St Agatha Mennonite Cemetery.
