      NEW DUNDEE, Aug. 25. - George Thomas Coleman, 84, of New Dundee, died last night at his residence after a five-year illness.

      Born Sept. 8, 1865, near Guelph, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Coleman. After farming west of New Dundee for 25 years, he moved to the village in 1916 and was a produce dealer for 10 years.

      He assisted in his son's hardware store until 1945. Mr. Coleman was a former secretary of the New Dundee Creamery and also a trustee and Sunday school teacher of the Bethel United Missionary Church, New Dundee, of which he was a member.

      In 1888 he married the former Maria Toman, who predeceased him in 1926. In 1929 he married Mrs. Judith Ann Herber who survives him.

      Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Earl T., and Orval T., both of New Dundee; two brothers, Robert, Galt, Ernest, London, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Smith and Mrs. Robert Morrow, both of Komoka, Ont. There are six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

      The funeral will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethel United Missionary Church with the Rev. J. H. Good, pastor of the church, officiating.

      Interment will be in the New Dundee Union Cemetery. The body is resting at the New Dundee home of his son, Earl. Removal will be made to the church prior to the service.
