  Menno M. Horst, "was born January 4th, 1846. He is married to Elizabeth Weber. They reside on his father's old homestead. To them were born four children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ________________________ At the same time came the report of death of Mr. Menno Horst, sr., who died after a lingering illness of kidney trouble.
