  MR. JAMES APPLEYARD The sudden death of Mr. Jas. Appleyard on Wednesday morning, removes from our midst a respected resident. Mr. Appleyard. was born in Leicestershire, England, in 1835 and came to Canada about 18 years ago, living for a time at Port Colborne and Muskoka, coming to Galt about May, 1885. The deceased was as well as usual up to Monday evening, when he was suddenly stricken down with apoplexy and died as stated above. He was a miller by trade and leaves a wife and eight children: five boys and three girls. The Weekly Reformer Mar 3 1893 pg 1
