    • JOHN BAUER THe death of John Bauer occurred suddenly at his home, 403 Water Street north, shorly before midnight. Deceased had been in failing health. He was born on Oct. 8, 1862 at Petersburg and in a few days would have attained his 75th birthday. He was the son of the late Conrad Buaer and his wife Mary Berk, natives of Germany. By occupation he was a fireman and Engineer. He was employed by the C.H.Doerr and Company for 21 years retiring in 1934. He was a member of St Matthews Church. He was married in 1888 to Margaret Burgman of Philipsburg, who with one son, William Edward of Invinge, Alberta survive, One brother Henry of New Dundee. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon. There will be a private service at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home at 2: 30 0'clock and a public service at St. Matthew's Church at three o'clock. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. John Schnieder will conduct the service.
