• Notes

  Jonathan R. Martin, RR 2, Elmira, died July 16 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 82. Born Dec. 30, 1884, in Woolwich Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Martin. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Brubacher, in 1959, and by two daughters, six brothers, and three sisters. Surviving are three sons, Sidney of RR 3, Elmira, Ephraim of St. Jacobs, and Edwin of RR 2, Elmira; one daughter, Magdalena of Elmira, four sisters, Mrs. Samuel Stauffer of Ephrata, Pa., Mrs. Norman Gingrich of Palmerston, Mrs. Joseph Gingrich of Peel Township, and Mrs. David Heintz of Wallenstein, and 11 grandchildren. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until 10 a.m. Tuesday, when removal was made to the residence where a service was held Wednesday.
