    Roth, Catherine, daughter of the late George and Leah (Wilhelm) Bast, was born in Wilmot Township, Ont., June 8, 1882; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., July 23, 1970; aged 88 y. 1 m. 15 d. On Mar. 8, 1906, she was married to Moses M. Roth. Surviving are 3 sons (Clarence, Milton, and Elmer), 4 daughters (Elmina - Mrs. Clayton Swartzentruber, Irma - Mrs. Lester Swwartzentruber, Mrs. Luella Jacky, and Mrs. Selena Wagler), 21 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held July 26, with Gerald Schwartzentruber and Elmer Schwartzentruber officiating.

    BADEN-Mrs. Catherine Roth of Baden died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener after a brief illness. She was 87.

    Mrs. Roth was born in Wilmot Township, June 8, 1881, and had resided in Baden since 1946. She was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church.

    She was predeceased by her husband, George [should read Moses].

    Surviving are three sons, Clarence of Waterloo; Milton of New Hamburg and Elmer of Baden; four daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Elmina) Swartzentruber, Mrs. Lester (Erma) Swartzentruber, both of Petersburg; Mrs. Sylvester (Luella) Jacky of St. Agatha and Mrs. Selina Wagler of Baden, 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

    The body will be at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home until noon Sunday when removal will be made to St. Agatha Mennonite Church where Rev. Gerald Swartzentruber and Rev. Elmer Swartzentruber will conduct the service at 3 p.m.

    Contributions to the Womens Missionary Society will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

She was formerly of Baden and Petersburg and was born in Wilmot Township 89 years ago, a daughter of the late Mose and Catherine (Bast) Roth. She was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church, where she was a member of the WMSC. Elmina was a former member of the Petersburg Seniors and enjoyed caring for many foster children in her earlier years. Elmina and her late husband, Clayton, owned and operated Petersburg General Store and Post Office for a number of years prior to retirement. Beloved wife of Clayton Schwartzentruber, whom she married September 17, 1930 and who predeceased her May 14, 1990. Loving mother of Del and his wife Marilyn of RR 1, New Dundee, Don and his wife Leone of Mississauga, Carol of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by her foster daughter. Evelyn and her husband Carl Randall of Kitchener; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Elmer and his wife Annie Roth of New Hamburg, Selena Wagler and Erma Swartzentruber, both of Baden. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and his wife Lyla, Milton and his wife Melinda and one sister, Luella and her husband Sylvester Jacky, two brothers-in-law, Elmer Wagler and Lester Swartzentruber.     Passed away peacefully on Thursday August 14, 2014 at Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Elmer formerly farmed at R.R. # 2 Baden. He was born 95 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Mose R. & Katherine (Bast) Roth.

    Beloved husband of Annie (Lichti) Roth with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage. Loving father of Charlotte Roth of Vancouver, BC, Daved (Bruce) Roth of Smithers, BC, Connie & husband Glenn Read of Waterloo, Terry Roth & partner Lilia of White Rock, BC. Dear grandfather of Ni-Cha & Crispin Pamajewong-Chapman and great-grandfather of Priya Doris Annie. Also remembered by the Lichti in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Elmer was predeceased by sisters Elmina & husband Clayton Schwartzentruber, Luella & husband Sylvester Jacky, Selena & husband Elmer Wagler, Erma & husband Lester Swartzentruber, brothers Clarence & wife Lyla Roth and Milton & wife Melinda Roth.

    Elmer was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church and also Especially for Seniors, Baden. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, trucks and farm equipment.

    Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Monday August 18, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden with Pastor Doug Snyder officiating. A private family interment will take place at St. Agatha Mennonite Cemetery on Tuesday prior to the funeral service.     SWARTZENTRUBER, Delford Roy (Del) - Passed away suddenly, on Friday, November 18, 2005, at his resi-dence, RR1, New Dundee.
    He was born 73 years ago on March 5, 1932, in Petersburg, a son of the late Clayton and Elmina (Roth) Schwartzentruber. Del was an active member of Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, New Dundee. He was retired after 30 years of service
    with J.M. Schneiders. Del had been a
    charter member of the New Dundee Snowmobile Club and enjoyed having the clubhouse on his property. He was a member of the New Dundee Board of Trade and the Union Cemetery Board.
    Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Eckstein) whom he married June 19, 1954. Loving father and grandfather of Tim and Joy and their children, Nathan and Michelle, Kristin, Tyson and Jonathan; Dale and Darlene and their children Candice, Brittany and Darryl; Faith Ann and Don Karcher and their daughter Janessa, all of New Hamburg; and Jeff and Cate and chil-dren
    Scott, Sean, Lilly and Mac of Greensville. Dear brother of Carol Hebert and Evelyn and Carl Randall, all of Kitchener. Also remembered by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Leone Schwartz of Mississauga, Shirley and Elmer Poll of RR1, New . Dundee, Ann and Roy Parker, Waldron and Doreen Eckstein, all of New Hamburg, June Rieck of New Dundee,' as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Del was predeceased by brother Don Schwartz and brother-in-law Bob Rieck.
    Friends and relatives called at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and will again Tuesday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church,1531 Bridge St., New Dundee at 2 p.m. with Pastor Graham Burkhart officiating. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, New Dundee.
    As expressions of sympathy, do-nations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of one's choice.

He was born in Petersburg, 66 years ago, a son of the late Clayton and Elmina (Roth) Swartzentruber. Don was a Regional Sales Manager for Cantrex Group Inc., Mississauga and was a member of St. Hilary's Anglican Church, Mississauga. Beloved husband of Leone (Sam) and loving brother of Del and Marilyn Swartzentruber of New Dundee, Carol Hebert, Evelyn and Carl Randall, all of Kitchener; dear nephew of Selena Wagler and Erma Swartzentruber of Baden, Elmer and Annie Roth of New Hamburg and Muriel (Mickey) Crowe of Toronto. Also remembered by a number of nieces; nephews; grand-nieces and grandnephews.
