    TUSTIN RESIDENT PASSES SATURDAY

    Hiram Egbert, 79, Had Lived in That Vicinity Since 1912; Canadian Native

    TUSTIN\emdash Hiram J. Egbert passed, away at his home In this village Saturday morning, July 10. He had been in feeble health for a considerable time and a few days prior to his death had suffered a stroke of paralysis.

    Mr. Egbert was born In Galt, Ontario, Canada, on January 16, 1868, and was 79 years, five months and 24 days old at the time of his death. He arrived, with his parents, in the United States when he was three years of age, settling in Detroit, later going to Jamestown and for a time residing In Grand Rapids. He was married In that city on January 26. 1876.

    Since 1912 he had resided In this vicinity, working in various capacities, the latest as mali carrier from the post office to the depot and return. He was affiliated with the Presbyterian church and was also a member of the I. O. O. F. lodge. The remains were taken to Grand Rapids Saturday, where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. Surviving are the wife and four sons, Edward and Frank of Grand Rapids, Harry of Detroit and Hiram A. of Pontiac.
