    Mrs. Henry Wettlaufer. 81, of Parkwood Manor Waterloo, died Tuesday at the Kathleen Scott Pavilion.

    Born in Baden, she was the former Melinda Daub, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Daub. She lived in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for the past 52 years and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

    Surviving are one son, Wallace, RR 2. Waterloo; four daughters, Mrs. Alberta Weber, Mrs. Wilson (Olive) Derbecker, both of Waterloo; Mrs. Thomas (Madeline) Pickard, Kitchener; Mrs. James (Catherine) Jury, Amhurstberg, N.S.; two brothers, Clarence, Waterloo; Alvin, Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Vera Cook, Kitchener; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, three brothers and a sister.

    The body is at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until 1:30 p.m. Friday. The service will be at St. Matthew's Church Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. Dr. John Schmieder officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

    Predeceased by her parents, Henry and Melinda Wettlaufer and by her husband, Aldie B. Weber (who died March 4, 1961). Mrs. Weber was born in Amulree on April 24, 1903 and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

    Dear mother of David and his wife Barbara of Port Loring, Ont. and Jeanette (Mrs. Ron Shaver) of Kitchener; grandmother of Michael, Mark and Dawn (Mrs. Joe McDonnnel), Steve and Mark Shaver and Sandi (Mrs. Brian McCrory), Paula (Mrs. Paul Campsall ; great-grandmother of Jeanine and Jeffrey Campsall; sister of Mrs. Kay Jury of Amhurst, N.S., Mrs. Madlyn Pickard and Wallace Wettlaufer, both of Kitchener and Mrs. Olive Derbecker of Waterloo.

    Mrs. Weber's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, after 7 p.m. this evening, until noon Thursday, when removal will be made to the chapel of St. John's Lutheran Church for funeral and committal services at 2 p.m. (Thursday), Rev. Jack Dressler officiating. Interment Memory Gardens.

    Otterbein, Barbara Ann (Derbecker) - August 25, 1933 - August 6, 2009. It was in peace that Barbara passed, in the comfort and familiarity of her own home. Barbara's unquestionable faith and mighty determination carried her through this always-uncertain journey with cancer. A longtime resident of New Hamburg, Barb was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Barb enjoyed all aspects of God's creation. She loved the land, wildlife, gardening, flowers, and cottage life at Macey Bay, Honey Harbour. Barb was an award-winning photographer, an avid reader, a compassionate and gentle woman who saw beauty in the simplicity of life. She is sorely missed and dearly loved. Beloved wife of Stan Otterbein, with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 23, 2009. Loving mother of Brad and Claire Otterbein, Karen and Rick Haffner, all of New Hamburg, and Doug and Elaine Otterbein of Enniskillen. Sadly missed by grandchildren, Mike and Lori, Nathan, Meghann and friend Kyle, Adam, Devon and Misty, Lucas, Sophia, Brett, Eden and Georden, and great-grandson, Trent. Dear sister of Linda Potter (Fred) and sister-in-law of Earl (Charlotte) Otterbein, Arthur Otterbein, Edward (Carol) Otterbein, Helen Raymond, Louise Riepert, Lorraine Bolduc and Marie Herter. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Wilson and Olive (Wettlaufer) Derbecker; great-granddaughter, Willow Otterbein; and by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann Otterbein, Garfield Raymond, Eldon Riepert, Lincoln Bolduc and Bill Herter. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg on Monday. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Andre Lavergne officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg
