BERGES, Dolores - Dolores Anne Berges (nee Ellert) of Stratford, passed away peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital, on Saturday, October 20, 2007 in her 84th year. Dolores was the loving wife of the late George Berges for 55 years. She was a devoted mother and will be greatly missed by her children, Dianne Van Slyck and her husband George of Stratford, David Berges and his wife Mary Jane of Mannheim, Donna Tigani and her husband Doug of Oakville and Doug Berges and his wife Kim of Edmonton. Dolores was the cherished grandmother of Katie and Gillian Van Slyck, Erin, Andrea and Madeline Berges and Blake and Joseph Berges. Dolores is also survived by two sisters, Agnes Ellert and Mae Runstedler of Waterloo. She was predeceased by her sister, Bernadette Ellert and her brother, Patrick Ellert. Dolores was a member of Immaculate Conception RC Church and the Catholic Women's League. At Dolores' request there will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 (today) at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Bester will be celebrant. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at the Columbarium Wall at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and they may be made through the Heinbuck Funeral Home , 156 Albert Street, Stratford (519-271-5062).
