    ISRAEL, Ruby Irene (nee GowIng) - Died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Chateau Gardens, in Elmira, in her 93rd year.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Albert (August 1972); her sister, Florence and her brothers, Morley and Ivan.

    She is survived by her sister, Laura Stahlbaum and daughter, Frieda (Dr. Murray) McAdam of Baden; sons, Dr. James (Mary Lou) Israel of Waterloo and Robert (Andrea) Israel of London. Proud grandmother of 11 grand-children, Judy McAdam Hunt of Richmond Hill, Patricia Hammill of New Jersey, James McAdam of Kitchener, Margaret McAdam, Philip Israel, Cindy Helmond, Jennifer O'Sullivan, all of Waterloo. James Israel of McKinney, Texas. Stephen Israel of British Columbia, Michael Israel and Jeffrey Israel of Toronto. Ruby is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.

    A private family interment will take place. A public memorial service will be held at Chateau Gardens, 1.1 Herbert St., Elmira on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 at 1 p.m. to commemorate Ruby's life.
