    Notes:

    Death of C. Ottmann - Death has claimed another victim in the person of Chas. Ottmann, jr., who passed peacefully away on Monday, July 30. His death, though sudden, was not unexpected. He had been in delicate health for several years, but was able to be around until a few hours before his demise. Deceased had lived a quiet life and made many friends. Of late years he was engaged in photography, and had worked up quite a nice little business. He was 27 years, I month and 11 days of age. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon last, and a large number of friends and relatives assembled to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the surrounding community in their deep affliction, this being the second bereavement in about four months.

    A shock of surprise was felt in the village on Monday evening when the news of the sudden death of Mr. Chas. Ottmann, jr., eldest son of Mr. Chas. F. Ottmann, harness maker, was spread. For several years the young man had been in poor health but he was able to be around until a few hours before he passed away. For the past few years he has been interested in photography and Wellesley's numerous bountiful photo postcards are the produce of his skill. Personally he was very popular with all classes and his death has caused general sorrow. He was born In Wellesley 27 years ago and has lived all his life here. The sympathy of all goes out to the family and many relatives. The funeral occurs this (Thursday) afternoon at 3.30 o'clock.

The Funeral Will leave the residence of his parents on Thursday, August 2nd, 1906, at 2.30 p.m., for interment in the Missouri Lutheran Cemetery. Services in the Church after the Interment.     The funeral of Luvina, the thirteen year old daughter of Mr. Chas. F. Ottmann, last Saturday afternoon was very largely attended. Relatives were present from Palmerston, Wiarton, Waterloo, Hawkesville and other places. The pall-bearers were all first cousins of the deceased. Her schoolmates sent a beautiful wreath of flowers and at the grave sang very sweetly "Safe in the Arms of Jesus."

    EBY, Mildred - Passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Grand River Hospital, with her family by her side. Mildred Eby (nee Ottman) in her 90th year was the beloved wife of the late Carl Eby. Dear mother of Ray Eby and his wife Patricia, and Carol and her husband Norman Geng. Loving grandmother to Carl (Carol) Eby, Steven (Corrie) Eby, Jenny (Collin) Belenger, Lori and her friend Karen, 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Survived by brother, Wilfred Ottman and his wife Helen. Predeceased by brothers, Roy Ottman, Robert Ottman and sister, Betty McPeak. Mildred was a charter member of St. Stephens. Mildred's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 749-8467. Funeral service on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Pastor William Schaefer assisted by Mike Chow officiating. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.     On Thursday, March 12, 1992, after a courageous battle with cancer, at K-W Hospital, Kitchener.

    She was born in Wellesley 55 years ago, a daughter of the late Walter Ottman and the former Hilda Brodrecht. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg and resided in New Hamburg. Marlene had worked at Nithview Home, New Hamburg since its inception 20 years ago.

    Beloved wife of Clare W. Doering, whom she married March 4, 1961; dear mother of Bruce. Bradley and Sheila, all of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by one grandson, Justin Doering and her special friends, Kim and Felicia Gravellus of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by four brothers, Harold Ottman and his wife Jean of Belleville, Doug Ottman and his wife Lorraine of Cambridge, Royal Ottman and his wife Janet, Ralph Ottman and his wife Mabel, all of Kitchener; one sister, Elaine Ottman of Edmonton, Alta. Also remembered by her mother-in-law, Ida (Mrs. Austin Doering) of Baden; one brother-in-law, Wayne Doering and his wife Donna of RR 2, Baden and a number of nieces and nephews.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, on Friday, March 13, 1992 (this evening), from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. Sunday, March 15. 1992. transfer will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church for the service at 2 p m with Pastor Andre Lavernge and Pastor Christine Selbstaedt officiating. Spring interment.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church.
