JANTZI, Daniel L. -- Of Route 1, Milverton, passed away Friday, February 3, 1978, at his home. Born in Wellesley Township, 90 years ago, son of the late Nicholas Jantzi and the late Lydia Lichti. He farmed in Wellesley Township all his life. Father of Joseph of Millbank, Fannie (Mrs. Joseph K. Jantzi) and Elizabeth (Mrs. Noah Jantzi), both of Route 1, Milverton; survived by 15 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife, the former Lydia Nafziger, died March 29, 1942; also by his second wife, the former Susan Steckley, October 15, 1957; also predeceased by four brothers and six sisters. Visitation at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Jantzi after 7 p.m. this evening. The funeral service will be conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Jantzi on Monday, February 6, at 12: 30, Bishop Amos Albrecht officiating. Interment will follow in the 7th Line Amish Mennonite.

Kauffman, Katie, daughter of Nicholus and Fannie (Lichty) Jantzi, was born near Wellesley, Ont., Feb. 12, 1889; departed this life at her home near Middlebury, Ind., April 26, 1958; aged 69 y. 2m. 14 d. Death came very suddenly from a heart attack. She spent her childhood in Minnesota, later moving with her parents to Michigan. On March 19, 1923, she was united in marriage to David D. Kauffman, who preceded her in death March 10, 1949. She and her family moved to Middlebury, Ind., in 1941. She is survived by the following children: Louis, Henry, Alvin, Fannie-Mrs. Joe Eash, and Barbara-Mrs. Chester Gingerich, all of Middlebury, Ind.: Mayme-Mrs. Levi Reigsecker, Millersburg, Ind.; Maudie-Mrs. Ezra Graber and Adeline-Mrs. Samuel Graber, both of Constantine, Mich.; and Floyd, Goshen, Ind.; also 33 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Dan and Mose Jantzi, both of Milverton, Ont.), and 4 sisters (Dora-Mrs. Ezra Jantzi, Milverton, Ont.; Rachel-Mrs. Mose Gerber, Brunner, Ont.; Fannie-Mrs. Dan Gingerich, Kalona, Iowa; and Nancy-Mrs. Dave Bender, Riverside, Iowa). Beloved wife of the late Jacob whom she married on December 16, 1943. Dear mother of Kenneth and his wife, Mary Lebold of Earlton, Wanda and her husband, Mervin Wagler of Wellesley, Wayne and his wife, Shirley Anne Lebold of Millbank, Floyd and his wife, Kathy Lebold of Lucknow. Lovingly remembered by her 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Schmidt, Katie Erb and Ella Mae Schmidt. Ezra was born in Mornington township 90 years ago. Son of the late Menno Jantzi and the late Susan Nafziger. Mr. Jantzi was a faithful member of the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. He farmed near Wellesley retiring in 1980. Beloved father of Gerald and his wife Bernadette Jantzi of RR 2, Wellesley, Marlene and her husband Floyd Martin of Kitchener and Reta and her husband Enos Gerber of Milverton and daughter-in-law, Edna Jantzi of Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Nicholas Jantzi of New Hamburg, Leonard and Mary Jantzi of Brunner, Laurene and Floyd Kuepfer of Milverton and Katie and Aaron L. Jantzi of Wellesley. Leonard was born 80 years ago in Mornington Township a son of the late, Menno L. and Susan (Nafziger) Jantzi. He had farmed on the home farm at RR 1, Brunner prior to his retirement. Leonard was a member of Fellowship Haven Amish Mennonite Church, Monkton. He was ordained on May 17, 1970 to the ministry and served in the Mornington, Fairhaven and Fellowship Haven Amish Mennonite Congregations. Beloved husband of Mary Jane (Kuepfer) Jantzi who he married January 3, 1952. Raymond Lichty of 116 Conway Drive died Saturday at K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was 25.
He was born at Millbank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Lichty, and lived in the Twin Cities for 31/2 years. He was an accountant with the Ontario Motor League until he became sick in February.
Mr. Lichty was a member of First Mennonite Church and the church council and was youth Sunday school superintendent. He received his secondary school diploma from the Adult Education Centre in Waterloo and completed one year of the certified general accountancy course.
Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Dorothy Cressman whom he married June 11, 1966; a son, Roger, and a daughter, Tania, both at home; four brothers, Melvin of Stratford, Delmer of Millbank, Laverne and Ivan, both of Kitchener; one sister, Florence of Kitchener, and paternal grandfather. The body will be at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Tuesday when removal will be made to First Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Funeral services were conducted today from Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley, for the late Ervin David Jantzi, 33, of R.R .1, Millbank, who died Friday, August 20, when the truck he was driving went out of control on the Queen Elizabeth Highway.
Rev. Steven Gerber officiated.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Born in Wellesley Township, August 21, 1937, the deceased is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel N Jantzi R.R. 1, Millbank.
Surviving besides his parents is his wife, the former Jean Jantzi, whom he married in St. Agatha, Sept. 2, 1961; one son, Robert, and three daughters, Kristine, Brenda and Mary Jane, all of home; three sisters, Mrs. Lorne (Mary) Steckley, Atwood; Mrs. Mervin (Norma) Kuepfer, Newton; and Laurene Jantzi, R.R. 1, Millbank.

JANTZI, Raymond W.On Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1979, in Oxford County, as a result of a hunting accident, Raymond Wilfred John Jantzi, of Route 2, Wellesley. He was born in Wellesley 40 years ago.
Dear son of Ezra and Katie Jantzi, of Route 2, Wellesley, he farmed near Wellesley all his life. A member of Maple View Mennonite Church. He farmed in Wellesley Township retiring in 1965. Beloved husband of the former Edna Jantzi; dear father of Calvin, Wayne, Myrna and Maxine, all at home; brother of Gerald of Route 2, Wellesley, Marlene (Mrs. Floyd Martin) of Elmira and Reta, (Mrs. Enos Gerber) of Route 1, Milverton.
Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, after 2 p.m. Thursday. At noon Friday, Nov. 9 the remains will be removed to the Maple view Mennonite Church for the the funeral service at 2: 30. Rev. Alvin Leis and Jacob Roes will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Jantzi.- Raymond W., son of Ezra N. and Katie (Lichty) Jantzi, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont., Dec. 1, 1938; died on Nov. 6, 1979; aged 40 y. On June 4, 1960, he was married to Edna Jantzi, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Calvin and Wayne), 2 daughters (Myrna and Maxine), one brother (Gerald), and 2 sisters (Marlene-Mrs. Floyd Martin and Reta-Mrs. Enos Gerber). He was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 9, in charge of Jacob Roes, Alvin Leis, and Fred Augsburger; interment in adjoining cemetery.

Sadly missed by his 27 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Cornelius Jantzi of Auburn and David & Catherine Jantzi of Millbank, by sisters Saloma & Joe Jantzi of Aylmer and Ruth Anne & Manuel Kuepfer of Milverton, by brothers-in-law George Kuepfer of Mississauga and John Jantzi of RR#2 Atwood and by sister-in-law Sarah Kuepfer of Newton.
Predeceased by his parents Joseph & Lydia (Kuepfer) Jantzi, his son Emanuel, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, by brothers Peter & Simon Jantzi, by brothers-in-law Rufus, Adam & Albert Kuepfer, and by sisters-in-law Leona Jantzi, Ida & Peter Schwartz and Clara Kuepfer.
Dan was a member of the Old Order Amish Church where he was a minister for 27 years.
Relatives and friends may call at the family home, 5404 Road 108 RR#1 Milverton after 1:00 pm on Saturday until Sunday at 8:00 pm Funeral service will be conducted on Monday July 30, 2018 at 9:00 am. Bishop Rueben Streicher officiating. Burial will take place in the 7th Line Wellesley Township Amish Mennonite Cemetery.
