    Notes:

    Her death was caused by being severely burned with gasoline, which caught fire while getting a lamp ready, Feb. 13, from which she suffered till death came to relieve her. She united with the Mennonite Church in her youth and was true to God and the Church until she was called from time to eternity. She met with many trials and difficulties in life. In all these she performed her duties as a faithful wife and Christian mother. Funeral services at the house by C. K. Ernest (I Cor. 15) and at the church by P. O. Oswald and Geo. Miller. Texts, Rev. 14:13; II Tim. 4:6-8. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

    Chris Erb, 82, Died June 29 At Hospital

    Services were conducted today, Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Mennonite church in Beemer for Chris Erb 82, Beemer with Rev. Sam Oswald officiating. Interment will be at the Lake Region Cemetery at Detroit Lake, Minn. Friday morning.

    Mr. Erb died June 29 at the Memorial hospital in West Point where he had been taken a week before. He had been in failing health since last fall.

    Chris Eb, Beemer was born to Menno and Nattie Erb June 27, 1882 in Canada and as a youth came to the Cuming County area. He was married Febr. 13, 1907 to Barbara Oswald and lived near West Point until 1949 when they moved to Detroit Lakes, Minn. Mr. Erb moved back to Beemer in 1958 and has lived with his son, Wilford and family until three weeks before he died. He had just gone to stay with another son, Leonard at West Point. Mr. Erb was a member of the Mennonite church at Beemer.

    Preceding him in death was a son, Menno in 1960 and his wife, Barbara in 1956.

    Survivors are two sons, Wilford, Beemer and Leonard, West Point: 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

    Notes:

    Erb, John K., son of Menno and Mattie (Kennel) Erb, was born on Nov. 11, 1884; died at the St. Mary's Hospital, Detroit Lakes, Minn., Dec. 9, 1960; aged 76 y. 28 d. In April, 1957, he suffered a paralytic stroke which left him a semi-invalid. On Oct. 21, 1960, he suffered another severe stroke from which he never recovered. On Dec. 22, 1909, he was married to Lena Oswald, who survives. Also surviving are 6 children (Omar, Amenia, N. Dak.; Wilma__Mrs. Elmer Nitzsche, Cass Lake, Minn.; Ruby-Mrs. Ben Grieser, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; Ezra, Walter, and John, Jr., all of Frazee, Minn.), 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 brothers (Chris, West Point, Nebr.; Mose, Shickley, Nebr.; Menno, Wakefield, Nebr.; and David, Frazee). One daughter and 2 sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Lake Region Church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 13, in charge of E. D. Hershberger, assisted by Harry Gascho.
