She was preceded in death by one son (John), one brother, and 3 sisters. She was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Sept. 16, in charge of Alvin Leis and Jacob Roes; interment in adjoining cemetery.

    STEINMANN, Noah

    On Saturday May 21, 1983, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Noah Steinmann of Nithview Home, New Hamburg, formerly of Wellesley. Noah was born in Wellesley township, 87 years ago.

    He was the son of the late John Steinmann and the late Susanna Gascho; he was a member of the Mapleview Mennonite Church and was a feed merchant in Wellesley, retiring several years ago.

    Beloved brother of Enos Steinmann of Kitchener; also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel and by four sisters, Katie and Barbara Steinmann and Mary (Mrs. John Schmidt) and Veronica (Mrs. David Bast).

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley on Sunday. At noon Monday, May 23, removal was made to the Mapleview Mennonite Church, for the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Alvion Leis, Rev. Glen Jantzi and Rev. Alan Nafziger officiated.

Predeceased by his brothers John (late Helen), Alvin (late Connie) and his sister Alma Bechtel (Lester). Cherished grandfather of Ben (Steff), Darlene (David), Jody (Marty), Heidi (Richard), Marja (April), Luke (Amy), Rebekah (Matt), Leah (Richard), Star, John (Juana), Mark and Richard Putman. Predeceased by his granddaughter Caroleen. Sadly missed by his great-grandchildren Mahlon, Reann, Madison, Fiona, Taavi, Jorja, Wyatt, Magellan, Cale, Maia, Kianna, Aphra, Asher, Isaiah, Emma and Anjela. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, especially David Bast (Sharon) as well as many friends and relatives. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, March 12, 2015 after 11 a.m. at Waters Mennonite Church, Lively. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. followed by interment in the Waters Cemetery, Lively. Donations to the Waters Mennonite Church would be appreciated.     BECHTEL, Alma Mary (Bast)

    On Wednesday, May 18, 1994, at St Mary's Hospital, in her 63rd year of Kitchener. Dear wife of Lester, mother of Bruce and his wife Diane Lichti and Carol and her husband Steve, Debbie and her husband Cam Shapansky, Peter and his friend Sonya Santarossa. Grandmother of five grandsons; Brendan, Wayne and Kevin Gerth and Craig and Evan Bechtel. Alma is also remembered by her brother, Alvin Bast and his wife Connie her sister, Susanne Bowman, her brother, Mahlon Bast and his wife Norma, her sister, Doris Metzger and her husband John, her sister, Dorothy Rudy and her husband Sid. She was predeceased by her parents, Dave and Veronica Bast, her brother, John and his wife Helen and a brother-in-law, Dave Bowman. Alma was a faithful supporter and member of Wanner Mennonite Church. Visitation will be held at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, this evening (Thursday) 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 12 30 p.m. on Saturday, transfer will be made to Wanner Mennonite Church, Beaverdale Road, Cambridge, for funeral service at 2: 30 p.m., with Rev. Eric Hibert Rempel officiating. Interment will follow in Wanner Mennonite Cemetery.

    GERBER, Norma Arlene (nee Steinmann) February 4, 1930 - December 6, 2009 Peacefully with family at her side, Norma passed away at West Park Manor. With courage and grace, she accepted the gradual physical limitations of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Norma was born in Wellesley, ON. At the age of 11, her family moved to Baden. Here is where she met Stuart Gerber and they were married in 1951. In 1961 they moved to Winnipeg. Norma had a long career at Safeway retiring after more than 25 years in 1993. Norma was a kind and loving person who loved to be with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren whether it was playing at home, outside or travelling to see them. She always took pleasure in each and every Christmas spending much time with them. Norma enjoyed camping with her family and loved tending to her flower gardens. She enjoyed making ceramics for her family and friends especially when they joined in and worked with her. She also enjoyed bowling for many years with Stuart and friends. Norma will be lovingly and sadly missed by her four children, Bryan (Laurice), Darrell (Sharron), Derrick (Debbie) and Melanie (Larry); her brother John and Clare and sisters Ruth and Irene. Forever cherishing her memories are her eight grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Brent, Breanne, Bryce, Kathleen, Brittany and Tanner. She was predeceased by her husband Stuart, of 50 years, in 2001; her sister Nancy and parents, Enos and Clara Steinmann. The family wishes to thank the staff of West Park Manor for their continual care and compassion over the past four years. In lieu of flowers, donations made may be in her name to West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3R 1X2. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 12: 30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow.

    STEINMANN, Clare Enos 1943 - 2010 Passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Cherished father of Brent and his wife Kathy and Michael. Loved grandfather of Kyle and Kiera. Dear brother of John (Bernice), Irene (Cliff) Stockdale, and Ruth Elsasser. Clare will be sadly missed by Caroline Steinmann, and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Nancy Roth and Norma Gerber.
