    MRS. JOHN WAGLER

    Mrs. John Z. Wagler died at her home Thursday, May 4th, in Wellesley, after an illness of about five days. She was born in North Easthope, April 29, 1880, a daughter of the late Andrew Streicher and Magdalena Roth. She was a member of Maple View Amish Mennonite Church. On November 4, 1900, she was married to Mr. Wagler in Wellesley. She is survived by her husband; one son, Rudy, of Kitchener; and one daughter, Miss Magdalena, at home. One son died in 1924. One grandchild also survives. The body rested at the Futher funeral home, Wellesley, until Saturday at 5:00 p.m. when removal was made to her home, where a short service was held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at the Maple View Church.

    MRS. NOAH LEIS - by Record Correspondent

    WELLESLEY, March 1 - Mrs. Noah Leis, 60, passed away at their home, on the 3rd Line, Wellesley, at 10: 30 last night following an illness of four months. She was born at North Easthope Dec. 6, 1883, a daughter of the late Andrew K. Streicher and Magdalena Roth, and was married at Wellesley Nov. 20, 1904. Mrs. Leis attended the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church on the 3rd Line, Wellesley.

    In addition to her husband, two sons, Emmanuel, of the 5th Line, Mornington, and Clayton of Milverton; and three daughters, Mrs. John McMillan of North Easthope and Clara and Lavina, at home, survive. There are also 11 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. John Wagler, of Wellesley, surviving.

    The funeral will be held Friday at 1: 30 pm from the home, followed by service at the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church at 2: 30 pm. Burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Samuel Schultz will officiate. The remains are resting at home.

    Wagler, Rudolph (Rudy) -- On Wednesday, March 18, 1981, at People's Care Centre, Tavistock, in his 79th year.

    He was born in 1902 and was a retired truck driver for the Bridgeport Co-op.

    Dear husband of Elizabeth Wagler of 108 Hincks St., New Hamburg; dear father of Emanuel of Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Christine, at home. A sister, Lena Wagler of Tavistock also survives. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine Wagler; his first wife, Lovina Kennell; a son in infancy, twin grandsons in infancy and a brother John.

    Resting at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 p.m. this evening and until Saturday, when removal will be made to Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank, for service and committal at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Jantzi and Rev. Elmer Schwartzentruber officiating. Interment in First Mennonite Church cemetery, Kitchener.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart Foundation.

    She was born in Wellesley Township, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Noah B. Leis.

    She was a member of the Hampstead United Church; a life member of the UCW of the church; a member of the Hampstead WI.

    Surviving are her husband; one son, Kenneth, RR 1 Gadshill; three daughters, Mrs. Mervin (Beatrice) Stroh, Wellesley; Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Murray, Prince George, B.C.; Mrs. Douglas (Kathaleen) Marquette, RR 1 Stratford; two brothers, Emanuel and Clayton both of Milverton; two sisters, Mrs. Emanuel (Clara) Kennell, and Mrs. Herbert (Lavina) Kraft, both of Waterloo; nine grandchildren.

    Funeral services were held oni Sunday at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley.

    Burial was in Hampstead cemetery.

    KRAFT, Lavina 1920 - 2011 After a long and full life, Lavina died peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener. She was 91. Dear mother of John and his wife Donna of Elmira. She will also be lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren, Brittany and Jamie and many nieces and nephews.     Emanuel (Manny) Wagler, 81

    Emanuel (Manny) Wagler, 81, passed away June 25, 2013 in his home of natural causes.

    Emanuel was born July 15, 1931 in Wilmot Township, Ontario, Canada.

    He became a U.S. Citizen through Naturalization on November 13, 1964.

    Emanuel was a member of the American Legion Bataan Post 4 in Deming, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose since 1998 at Deming Lodge 2088 and a member of AMVETS NM Post 30 in Deming.

    Emanuel served and retired from the U.S. Air Force, serving as a Registered Nurse.

    Memorial Services to celebrate the life of our friend Emanuel, will be held Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Hidden Valley Ranch RV Resort, located at 12100 Hidden Valley Road NW, in Deming NM. Desserts and coffee will follow the service.

    LEIS, Edmund - Peacefully went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. He resided in Wellesley and was formerly of Millbank. Ed was born 74 years ago in Wellesley Township, a son of the late Clayton and Magdalena (Gerber) Leis. He was a member of Poole Mennonite Church where he served as Elder, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. Ed blessed his church family with his musical talent as song leader and musician. Beloved husband of Lydiann (Zehr) Leis whom he married in 1956. Loving father of Doug and Cheryl of Wiarton, Judy and Tim Yantzi of RR2 Tavistock, Rob and Brenda of RR1 Newton, Val and Robert Bender of RR2 Wellesley, Don and Julie of Wellesley, Sherry and Metaxas Makedos of RR2 Tavistock. Special grandpa of 21 grandchildren. Brother of Marjorie and Doug Bowles of Woodstock, Helen and Howard Kropf of Tavistock, Albert and friend Pat of Stratford, Laurene and Bruce Wilhelm of New Hamburg and brother-in-law of Allan and Marg Zehr of RR1 Newton. Also remembered by his aunt, Lavina Kraft of Waterloo and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by one brother in infancy and sister-in-law, Sandra Leis. Ed's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Crosshill Mennonite Church on Monday, January 7 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Poole Mennonite Church on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Dyck officiating. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
