Hamburg Obituary

WILLIAM BOULLEE

NEW HAMBURG, Oct. 1. Another of New Hamburg's well- known citizens, the late Mr. William Boullee who passed away at St. Mary's hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday afternoon, was laid to rest yesterday afternoon at three o'clock. After a short private service at the home the cortege proceeded to the Evangelical Church of which the deceased was a faithful member, where a large gathering of friends and relatives had come to pay their last tribute of respect. The services were in charge of the pastor Rev. A. E. Pletch assisted by Rev. S. R. Knechtel and Rev. J. G. Litt of Kitchener. Rev. Mr. Pletch took his sermon from Mr. Boulee's favorite text "John 4-1-3". Rev. Mr. Knechtel then spoke of his friendship with the deceased for over 40 years. It was during his pastorate here that Mr. Boulleè united with the church. The choir sang two of his favorite hymns "Abide with Me" and "Heaven is my Home." The pallbearers were Messrs. Aaron Eidt, George Merner, David Ratz, Eph. Cassel, Edward Merner, and John Heese. Interment took place in Riverside cemetery.

O. F. Boullee, of New York city, and Miss Louisa Oberlander were married last evening at the home of the bride's father, the Rev. A. Oberlander, in Butternut street. Only the near friends of the parties were present. The gifts were numerous and choice. Mr. and Mrs. Boullee leave this evening for New Hamburgh, Canada, for a short visit with the parents of the bridegroom. They will live at No. 49 Butternut street.

Ottomar F. Boullee, 74, of 406 Highland Street, died at his home yesterday after a long illness. He was a member of the Syracuse Turn Verein. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Oberland Boullee of Syracuse; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Crispin and Mrs. Compton Hover, both of Germantown, and three grandchildren. The funeral will take place from the home at 2 P.M., tomorrow, after services are conducted there by the Rev. William E. Scheding of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Evangeline Marie Boulee, 86. of 146 Stafford Ave., died Feb. 13, 1959, after an illness of one week. She was born in Oberlin, Ohio, April 4, 1873, daughter of James and Harriet Gager Stofer, On Oct. 8, 1900, she was married to Dr. Henry Boulee of Ontario, Canada, in Cleveland. In 1945, she moved to Waterville where she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Louis F. Ruf Jr. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Ruf, she leaves a grandson, John N. Ruf, a niece and a nephew. Dr. Louis F. Ruf Sr. of Brockport conducted a private service at 2 on Monday from her home. Burial will be in Cleveland in the spring.

1 cup sifted flour, 1/2 cup shortening, cold water, just enough to hold mixture together, a pince of salt
