    Heidelberg - An aged resident of Heidelberg, Mrs. Louis Rank, 78, passed away early Monday morning at her home, after a long illness. The funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday from the residence to St. Peter's Lutheran Church for service. Rev. K. Knauff will officiate. Interment in the Heidelberg cemetery.

    The late Mrs. Rank, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Foerster, was born near Heidelberg, Dec. 28, 1860. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Lips, Bamberg, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Ziegler, Mrs. Wm. Hass and Mrs. Emiline Hackbart, Heidelberg, Mrs. Adam Wettlaufer, Tavistock, and Miss Rose Foerster, Kitchener. One son predeceased her.

    Lips, Irvin Louis - At his residence 3 Apollo Drive, Heidelberg, on Thursday, July 23, 1987, age 70 years. Mr. Lips was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg and formerly a member of St. John's Lutheran church, RR 3, Wellesley. He had farmed on the Hesson Road for many years, before retiring to Heidelberg. Beloved husband of the late Florence Hahn, who predeceased him October 1983; son of the late Andrew and Jeannettie Lips. Also predeceased by his son, Howard in 1970. Survived and sadly missed by his sister, Mrs. Mabel Roeder of Heidelberg. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after Friday (today), 2 pm, continuing until noon Sunday, when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, for funeral service at 3 pm, Rev. Robert Gmeindl officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg.

    Norene passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Saturday morning, April 16, 2022, at the age of 97. Beloved mother of Dianne White and her husband Donald. Norene was predeceased by her daughter Heather Armstrong in 1995 and her husband Edwin Schneider in 1996. She was also predeceased by her parents, Louise (Reibling) and Edward Rank, her brother Loren Rank, her sister Merriel Margetts Evans, her brother-in-law Alfred Margetts, her nephew Claire Margetts, her parents-in-law Lydia (Berg) and Jacob Schneider, and her sisters-in-law Frieda Littleford, Eileen Schneider, Ella Schweitzer, and Laura Chattel. She will be sadly missed by her niece, Yvonne Horne, and family. At Fairview Mennonite Home, where Norene has lived for the past 6 years, the staff enjoyed her gentle nature, her funny sense of humour and her positive attitude. Thank-you to the wonderful staff at Fairview, especially in the Hespeler unit, who took such excellent care of her. Norene's family will receive friends and relatives at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 11 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon. Live streaming link of the service will be available on Norene's obituary page. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
