CRESS, Vera (nee Schweitzer) Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Vernal O. Cress (1989). Dear mother of Diane Brown of St. Jacobs and the late Blair Brown, Carol Czarny and her husband Grant of Woodstock, Bonnie Horst and her husband Peter of St. Jacobs. Loving grandmother to Amanda (Mark) Rudniski, Jessica (Nate) Vogel, Matthew (Anna) Horst, and Carly (Blake) Horst. Great-grand- mother of Sophie Vogel, Edson Rudniski and Devin Vogel. Dear sister of Norma Snyder, Ruth (George) Ritter, and Mildred Heller. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Violet (Durst) Schweitzer and two sons, twin brothers Mark and Dale. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. A private family service will take place followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. James Lutheran Church, in St. Jacobs would be appreciated.
