    HIPEL, Stella Mae Passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, Ontario, on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at age 94. Loving daughter of the late Aaron and Sarah Hipel. Survived by sisters-in-law Helen Hipel, Gloria Hipel and Joan Hipel. Predeceased by sisters, Pearl Schmitt, Marguerite Heer and brothers Earl, Ken and Roy Hipel. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Simeon Heer and Elroy Schmitt. Stella leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their children who formed a large extended family that was dear to her heart. A longtime employee of J.M. Schneider, Stella worked in the bacon department for 32 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening and after the death of her parents, she always hosted a Christmas gathering for her brothers and sisters and their children. Stella was a longtime member of the Breslau Evangelical Missionary Church. A special thank you to the staff at Fairview Mennonite Home for the excellent care Stella received during her 14 years there. The family will receive friends at Fairview Mennonite Auditorium on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. A private family interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fairview Mennonite Home or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

    Ken was a corporal for the Lincoln and Welland Division of the Army in the Second World War, being wounded twice before his honourable discharge in 1945.

    Relatives and friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home (519-745-9495), 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a Legion service at 7 p.m.

    The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Father Ronald Voisin officiating.

    A private family interment will take place at St. Boniface RC Cemetery, Maryhill. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Down Syndrome Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

    Passed away peacefully at Cambridge, Ontario on Wednesday October 22, 2014 in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen (2002). Loving father of John (Maria), Susan Pautler (Chuck), Libby Noonan (and the late Bill) and Mary. Dearly loved grandfather of Lori, Amanda, Andrew, Marsha, John, Michael, James, Robin and Jessie. Great-grandfather to Ethan, Liam, Theodore, Elliot, Devon, Vivian, Lola, Jade and Cullen. Survived by sisters Helen and Joy and brother Clair. Predeceased by brother Ray. Gerald was born in Baden, Ontario and raised on a farm at Riverbank near Waterloo-Wellington Airport. In 1950, Gerald and his loving wife Helen moved to ThistleBlend Farm located on Fountain Street, Cambridge. Together they raised a family, were active members of the local farm and Zion United Church community and built a successful dairy-beef farm operation. Gerald will be remembered for his strong work ethic, commitment to farming, stewardship for the land and knowledge of pioneer history. Gerald was an endless source of stories, memories and advice which he shared freely with anyone he met. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Cambridge Country Manor and Golden Years Retirement Home, Cambridge for their care and kindness during the latter years of his life. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3J8 (519)-653-3251 on Thursday October 30, 2014 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm and Friday October 31, 2014 from 2-4 pm. Ray was a dedicated employee for 36 years of Arrow Shirt Company before his retirement in 1986. He was also a long time member of Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo. During his life he enjoyed traveling, gardening and hanging out with his friends, the Coupon Clippers. Visitation and funeral dates and times have yet to be confirmed.     Mrs. Myrtle Gole, 46, of 255 Herbert St., Waterloo, died Thursday at K-W Hospital after suffering a heart attack. She had lived in the Twin Cities for nine years.

    Mrs Gole was born March 9, 1915 in Breslau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Prong, now of Preston. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical UB Church. Her husband, Carl Gole, died in March.

    Surviving are two sons, Lyle and Edward, both of Waterloo; seven daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Lois) Privatt, Mrs. John (Norma) Mueller, and Betty Gole, all of Kitchener; Ina Gole, Janet Gole, Linda Gole and Judy Gole, all of Waterloo; a brother Robert Prong of Preston; three sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Shirley) Jiggins of Preston, Mrs. Wilbert (Gladys) MacDonald of Glenn Morris, and Mrs. Jean Pfeffer of Toronto; and eight grandchildren.

    The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home from 12 noon Saturday. The funeral will be conducted there by Rev. J.H.Getz, assisted by Rev. E.F. Dorsch, Monday at 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
