    HIPEL, Stella Mae Passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, Ontario, on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at age 94. Loving daughter of the late Aaron and Sarah Hipel. Survived by sisters-in-law Helen Hipel, Gloria Hipel and Joan Hipel. Predeceased by sisters, Pearl Schmitt, Marguerite Heer and brothers Earl, Ken and Roy Hipel. Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Simeon Heer and Elroy Schmitt. Stella leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their children who formed a large extended family that was dear to her heart. A longtime employee of J.M. Schneider, Stella worked in the bacon department for 32 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed gardening and after the death of her parents, she always hosted a Christmas gathering for her brothers and sisters and their children. Stella was a longtime member of the Breslau Evangelical Missionary Church. A special thank you to the staff at Fairview Mennonite Home for the excellent care Stella received during her 14 years there. The family will receive friends at Fairview Mennonite Auditorium on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. A private family interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fairview Mennonite Home or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

    Beloved husband for 60 years to Gloria (Garner).

    Cherished dad of Lynda (Ron) Frey.

    Loving grandpa of Laurie (Duane) Hollohan, Kristy Schedewitz (Shaun McGuire) and step-grandpa of Sherry (Bob) Radojcin, Dylan Frey and Mike Schedewitz.

    Great-papa of Shauna, Alex, Keanna, Kayden, Bryce and step-great-papa of Jelena and Lucas.

    Sadly missed by his brother, Roy (Joan) Hipel; sister, Stella Hipel; sister-in-law, Helen Hipel and brother-in-law, Jim (Hazel) Garner.

    Predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Sarah Hipel; brother, Earl; sisters, Margaret and Pearl; brothers-in-law, Elroy and Simon; nephews, Mike and Jeff Garner and Joe Hipel.

    Ken was a corporal for the Lincoln and Welland Division of the Army in the Second World War, being wounded twice before his honourable discharge in 1945.

    Relatives and friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home (519-745-9495), 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with a Legion service at 7 p.m.

    The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Father Ronald Voisin officiating.

    A private family interment will take place at St. Boniface RC Cemetery, Maryhill. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Down Syndrome Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

    HIPEL, Roy W. Passed away at the Cambridge Country Manor on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Joan Hipel (Hagey) for 60 years. Loved father of Wendy Beirnes (Tim), David Hipel, Jim Hipel (Jennifer) and Nancy Martin (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Kerri Beirnes (Mike), Kristin Beirnes (Chris), Kaylee Taylor (Curtis), Troy Beirnes, Allison Hipel, Jacob Hipel, Kadison Hipel, Jayden Hipel, Lindsay Schmidt (Andrew) and Tyler Martin. Great-grandfather of Destiny Schmidt, Leah Schmidt and Lucas Taylor. Also survived by his sister Stella Hipel. Predeceased by his grandson Aaron Hipel, brothers Earl and Ken Hipel and sisters Marg Heer and Pearl Schmitt. Roy was a lifelong dairy farmer and member of Trillium United Church in Cambridge. Roy's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private family memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating. Cremation with interment in Hagey Cemetery, Cambridge.
