    Seifried, Mrs. John (Mary) - of 210 Lancaster St. E., on Saturday, November 4, 1978, at the Green Gables Manor, after a lengthy illness, 96 years of age. A member of St. Anne's RC Church and the Catholic Women's League of the church. The former Mary Kieffer, mother of Mary and Harold, both of Kitchener, Carl of Waterloo and Gerald of Hamilton, cousin of Marie Scherrer of Kitchener. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Theresa (nee May) and Adam Kieffer, son Irvine, two sisters and one brother. Funeral mass was held today at St. Anne's RC Church as previously announced. Rev. T. J. Gallagher officiated. Interment followed in Mount Hope RC cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, Benton and Church Streets, in charge of arrangements.

    Louis Kieffer, R. R. 1, Breslau, died at his home Wednesday, March 21 after an illness of more than two weeks.

    Born at Pilkington, Mr. Kieffer was a farmer. He was a member of St. Boniface R. C. Church, Maryhill, and of the League of the Sacred Heart. Forty-one years ago he married the former Abbie Bitschy at Maryhill.

    Surviving are his wife; two sons, Vincent, Kingsdale, and William at home; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Drexler, Elmira; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Schuett, West Montrose, and Mrs. Mary Seifriend [sic] and Mrs. Katherine Roth, both of Kitchener, and seven grandchildren.

    Prayers were offered at the residence at 9: 30 a.m., Monday followed by requiem high mass at St. Boniface R.C. Church, Maryhill, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Diemert officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    Mrs. Charles Schuett

    Mrs. Edith Schuett of RR 1, West Montrose died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 81. Born in Maryhill, Mrs. Schuett was a member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, and the Christian Mothers' Society. The former Edith Kieffer, she was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Charles. She is survived by three sons, Clarence of West Montrose, Wilbert of Guelph and Carl of Kitchener and four daughters Mrs. Joseph (Loretta) Daub and Mrs. Hugo (Anna) Zettel, both of Kitchener, and Clara and Edith of West Montrose. One daughter, Mrs. Ted Grundy predeceased her. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Mary Seifried of Kitchener. There are 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9: 15 a..m. Thursday before requiem high mass at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill at 10 a.m. with Rev. J. H. Lawless officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Mrs. Catharine Roth, 64, of 28 Locust St., died in St. Mary's Hospital Sunday. She had been in failing health for some time. Born in Pilkington Township, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Kieffer, she attended St. Mary's RC Church. She was a member of the Christian Mother's Society and the League of the Sacred Heart. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. John (Mary) Seifried and Mrs. Oscar (Marie) Scherrer, both of Kitchener and Mrs. Charles (Edith) Schuett of West Montrose. Her husband, Edward, and one brother predeceased her.     DREXLER, Mary Catherine Passed away at Chartwell LTC Elmira, on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Mary celebrated her 100th birthday on April 17th with a wonderful party. Mary was the loving mother of Joyce (Bill) Shantz, Deanna (Don) Nimmo, Betty (Jack) Strauss, Margaret Bisch (Paul Floto), Helen (Gord) Beal, Charles (Janice) Drexler, and Robert (Bev) Drexler. She is survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Charles Drexler (1997), parents Louis and Abbie (Bitschy) Kieffer, brothers Vincent Kieffer and William Kieffer, grandson Robin Bisch, and her Drexler in-laws. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira. Reception to follow in the church hall. The family wishes to thank the Chartwell staff for the care Mary received during the time she resided there.     Schuett, Clarence - Of Maryhill, at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, on Monday, July 10, 1995, aged 87 years. Clarence Schuett, a member of St. Boniface RC Church. A member of the Holy Name Society and also the choir of the church. Clarence was a retired farmer, farming in the Winterbourne area for many years. A past director of the North Waterloo Farmers Mutual Farm Insurance, one of the founding members of the North Waterloo Rural Soft Ball League, a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and an active bowler and horseshoe player. A very active member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus, Council 6024 and a fourth degree member of the Father Funcken General Assembly and a past executive with the International Plowing Match Association. Son of the late Charles Schuett and the former Edith Kieffer. Loving brother of Wilbert of Guelph, Carl and his wife Theresa of Kitchener, Loretta Daub, Anna Zettel, all of Kitchener and Clara and Edith Schuett of Maryhill. Special uncle to Dianne Grundy of Vancouver and Betty and Jim Schweitzer of Kitchener. Very special grandpa to Melanie, Matthew and Meaghan Schweitzer and will be missed by many more nieces and nephews.     Clara passed away peacefully at her home, Twin Oaks of Maryhill on Friday, February 13th, 2015 in her 99th year. Clara grew up on the family farm outside Winterbourne. She also worked for many years at Merchants Printing doing bindery work. Clara enjoyed oil painting and decorating wedding cakes, travelling and helping out anyone in need of assistance. She also enjoyed visiting shut ins, sharing her cheery outlook on life. When the farm was sold in 1973, Clara moved to Maryhill with her sister Edith and brother Clarence. She was a member of St. Boniface RC Church and the C.W.L. and volunteered at her Church, singing in the choir and doing altar preparations and flowers with her sister Edith. She also volunteered at Twin Oaks, making numerous baby quilts for her extended family and Birthright and was a member of Right to Life and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her brother Charles "Carl" and his wife Therese of Kitchener. She is loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She is a special "Grandma" to Melanie, Matt and Meghan. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Edith (Keiffer) Schuett, her brothers Clarence and Wilbert (Margaret) and her sisters Marie Grundy (Ted), Loretta Daub (Joseph), Anna Zettel (Hugo) and Edith Schuett. Her family would like to thank all the staff at Countryside Retirement and Twin Oaks of Maryhill for the loving compassionate care given to Clara.
