    Funeral of Allan Edgar

    The funeral of the late James Allan Edgar of Paris, whose death occurred on Thursday, took place to the Ayr Cemetery on Sunday afternoon. The service in Paris was conducted by Rev. W. F. McConnell, while Rev. J. W. Currie of Ayr officiated at graveside. The funeral was held under the auspices of the I. 0. 0. R., many members of the order being in attendance. The pallbearers were: John Cochrane, Matthew Deans, Allan Scott, Paris; Alex. Edgar, Robert Edgar, Gorrie, and Geo. D. Black, Ayr. The late Mr. Edgar, who was in his 89th year, was born on the farm now owned by William T. Edgar, two miles south-west of Ayr. He engaged in farming the greater part of his life, retiring to Paris a number of years ago. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children: Wallace, Strathclair, Man.; John, south of Paris; James, Paris, and Morton, London. One brother and one sister, William T. Edgar and Miss Mary Edgar, south-west of Ayr, also survive.

    William Wallace Edgar Dies

    The death occurred at. Willett Hospital, Paris, on Monday of William Wallace Edgar, Hit 3, Ayr, aged 70 years. Born in the Paris district, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Edgar. He lived at Straticlair, Man., for many years, returning to this district about 20 years ago. In recent years he had resided with his cousins, Misses Elizabeth and Mary Black, North Dumfries-Blenheim townline. He was a member of Knox United Church here. Surviving are three brothers, John and James Edgar of Paris and Morton Edgar of London. Funeral service was held at Cumming's Funeral Home, Paris, today (Wednesday) with interment in Ayr Cemetery. Rev. W. J. V. Buchanan officiated.
