    Kropf, Catharine, daughter of Nicholas and Barbara (Schmidt) Lichti, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Nov. 5, 1878; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Nov. 5, 1963; aged 85 y. She was married to Rudolph Kropf, who died in 1938. Surviving are 3 sons (Aaron, Lorne, and Clayton), 3 daughters (Elmina - Mrs. Milton Boshart, Barbara - Mrs. Ervin Litwiller, and Arleatha - Mrs.Henry Zehr), 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one sister (Rachael - Mrs. Moses Moyer). Five brothers and 4 sisters preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. Agatha Church, where funeral services were held Nov. 8, in charge of Gerald Schwartzentruber, Orland Gingerich, and Elmer Schwartzentruber.

    Mrs. Rudolph Kropf
    New Hamburg - Mrs. Rudolph (Katie) Kropf, 218 Jacob St., New Hamburg, died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital on her 85th birthday. Born Catherina Lichti at St. Agatha, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Lichti, Mrs. Kropf has been a resident here for the past eight years. She was a member of the St. Agatha Amish Mennonite Church. Her husband died in 1938. Surviving are three sons, Aaron of Waterloo, Lorne of Kitchener and Clayton of Philipsburg; three daughters, Mrs. Milton (Elmina) Boshart of Waterloo, Mrs. Irvin (Barbara) Litwiller of Kitchener and Mrs. Henry (Arleatha) Zehr of New Hamburg; one sister, Mrs. Mose (Rachel) Moyer of Kitchener, 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased also by one son, one daughter, five brothers and four sisters. The body will be at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home here until noon Friday, when removal will be made to the St. Agatha Amish Mennonite Church for service at 2: 30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Elmer Schwartzentruber. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery

    Aaron Kropf

    Funeral services were held Friday for Aaron Kropf, a native of St. Agatha, who died last week at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a lengthy illness. He was 64. A lifelong resident of the Twin City area, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kropf, and was born at St. Agatha. He was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church and was employed at Sunshine Office Equipment Ltd. For 28 years. Illness forced him to retire in March of 1965. He is survived by his wife, the former Annie Herner, whom he married in St. Agatha Aug. 29, 1925; one son, Wilbert E. of Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. William (Verdella) Wynowsky of Waterloo; one brother, Lorne of Kitchener, two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Litwiller of Kitchener and Mrs. Henry (Arleatha) Zehr of New Hamburg; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. The service was held in St. Agatha Mennonite Church Friday afternoon and burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Elmer Schwartzentruber, assisted by Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber officiated

    Kropf - Aaron, son of Rudolph and Katherine (Lichti) Kropf, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Feb. 14, 1903; died at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, May 31, 1967; aged 64 y. 3 m. 17 d. On Aug. 25, 1925, he was married to Annie Herner, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children (Wilbert and Verdella-Mrs. William Wynowsky), one brother (Lorne), 2 sisters (Mrs. Barbara Litwiller and Arleatha-Mrs. Henry Zehr), and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and one sister. He was a member of the St. Agatha Church, where funeral services were held June 2, in charge of Ehier Schwartzentruber and Gerald Schwartzentruber.

On March 19, 1924, she was married to Milton Boshart, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Berl, Robert, and Gary), one daughter (Reta - Mrs. Lee Horst), and 6 grandchildren. One son and one brother preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held April 8, with Elmer Schwartzentruber and Gerald Schwartzentruber officiating.

    Mrs. Milton Boshart, 60, of 63 Avondale Ave. S., Waterloo died today at K-W Hospital following a lengthy illness.

    The former Elmina Kropf, she was born in St. Agatha, Oct. 16, 1905, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kropf. She was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church, and had lived in Waterloo for the past 10 years. She had formerly lived in Bridgeport.


    Surviving are her husband, whom she married in St. Agatha on March 19, 1924; three sons, Berl and Robert, both of Kitchener, and Gary, Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Lee (Reta) Horst, Kitchener; three brothers, Aaron, Waterloo, Lorne, Kitchener, and Clayton, Wellesley; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Litwiller, Kitchener, and Mrs. Henry (Arleatha) Zehr, New Hamburg; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Wilfred, and a son, Floyd. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon on Friday when removal will be made to the St. Agatha Mennonite Church for the service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Elmer Schwartzentruber and Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber will conduct the service.

    Donations to the Western Ontario Mennonite Mission Board or the Canadian Cancer Society will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.

Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000 at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, Rev. David Martofficiatingtng. Internment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Donations to Stirling Avenue Mennonite church, Stirling WMA or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Kropf, Lorne - Passed away, peacefully, in his 85th year, after a lengthy illness, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1994. Lorne was born in St. Agatha and was predeceased by his parents, Rudy Kropf and the former Catherine Lichti; brothers, Aaron, Wilfred and Clayton and his sister, Elmina (Boshart). Beloved husband of Seleda (nee Everatt) for 60 years. Loving father of James and his wife Jean of Cambridge, Marlene and her husband Gerald Ueberschlag of Kitchener. Dearly missed by his grandchildren, Lynn and her husband David Clair, Wendy and her husband Murray Priebe and Beth Rumig. Special great-grandfather to Andrew and Matthew Clair. Also sadly missed by his sisters, Barbara Litwiller and Arleatha Brown and sisters-in-law, Annie Kropf, Vera Schiefle and Lucinda Boshart. Mr. Kropf's family will receive friends and relatives at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, this evening (Thursday) 7-9 p.m. At noon Saturday, transfer will be made to First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener, for funeral service at 2 p.m., with Brice Balmer officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.

    Clayton Kropf

    Clayton Kropf, Wellesley, died at his home Wednesday following a heart attack. He was 52.

    Born March 12, 1915, in St. Agatha, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kropf.

    Employed at Waterloo, for the past 25 years, Mr. Kropf had resided in Wellesley for the past year.

    He was a member of Lisbon Evangelical United Church.

    His first wife, the former Clara Bast, died in January 1965.

    Surviving are his second wife, the former Vera Yost whom he married April 9, 1966, in Wellesley; three sons, Arthur and Bruce of Kitchener and Ronald at home; one stepson, Wilson Cook, also at home; three daughters, Mrs. John (Kelsey) Kuepfer, R. R. 1, New Hamburg, Mrs. Patrick (Shirley) Hergott of St. Clements, and Berniece, at home; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Jutzi, Kitchener; two brothers, Aaron of Waterloo, and Lorne of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Arleatha) Zehr, New Hamburg, and Mrs. Barbara Litwiller, Kitchener, and seven grandchildren.

    One brother and one sister predeceased him.

    The body was at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Saturday when removal was made to Lisbon Evangelical United Brethren Church for service at 2: 30 p.m.

    Rev. Lynn Snyder officiated. Internment was made in St. Agatha Mennonite cemetery.

    The death of Wilfred Kropf, 42, occurred at his home in Kitchener last Thursday following a heart attack. The deceased was born at St. Agatha, Dec. 12, 1917, a son of the former Katherine Lichty, now of New Hamburg and the late Rudolph Kropf, who died 20 years ago. He moved to Kitchener from St. Agatha three years ago and was employed at the Dominion Tire factory. Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, the former Viola Zehr, whom he married in 1940 in East Zorra Township; three daughters, Donna, Grace and Verna, all at home; three brothers, Aaron of Waterloo, Clayton of Baden, Lorne of Kitchener and three sisters, Mrs. Milton (Elmina) Boshart of Waterloo, Mrs. Barbara Litwiller of Kitchener, Mrs. Henry (Arleatha) Zehr, Jacob street, New Hamburg. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon with service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Kitchener and burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. A. W. Lotz officiated.

    Rev. U. K. Weber performed the wedding ceremony in Stirling Ave. Mennonite Church Saturday which united in marriage his granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Weber, and Mr. Walter Carl Litwiller. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Weber, R.R. 3, Kitchener, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Litwiller, Richmond Ave. White gladioli and asters decorated the church for the ceremony. Mrs. Richard Simmons, sister of the bride, sang " The Lord's Prayer" and "A Wedding Prayer." Organist was Miss Helen Weber. Entering the church with her father, the bride was gownes in slipper satin fashioned with a nylon lace yoke, lily-point sleeves and a full skirt extending into a train. Imported flowers held her nylon fingertip veil to her satin halo headdress. The bride carried a cascade of sweetheart roses and white feathered carnations and stephanotis. Miss Elaine Rohr was maid of honor. Her leaf green taffeta gown was styled with bouffant skirt, and the bertha collar formed brief sleeves. A halo had and mittens of self material complet- ed her costume. She carried a cascade of yellow talisman roses. Miss Sara Ann Weber was bridesmaid and Miss Evelyn Ann Weber, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Both were gowned in mauve taffeta which was styled similarily to the maid of honor's. Halo hats and mittens completed their ensembles. Both bridesmaids carried cascades of Queen Elizabeth roses. Mr. Manley Koch, Hilda Pl., performed the duties of best man. Mr. Walter Workentin, Waterloo, and Mr. Wilfred Erb, R.R. 2, Petersburg, were ushering. Eighty guests were received for dinner at the church by Mrs. Weber who chose for the occasion a Florida blue dress of faconne crepe with navy accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy crepe dress and navy an light blue accessories. Mixed corsages with red roses were worn by both mothers. Mr. and Mrs. Litwiller travelled to Muskoka and other northern points for their wedding trip. The bride donned a powder blue ny- lon dress, navy accessories and pinned a white gardenia at her shoulder. She carried a pink shortie coat. The couple will reside at 24 Richmond Ave. Children

    WALTER "WALLY" LITWILLER 1929 - 2009 Wally passed away suddenly, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, February 26, 2009. He was 79. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Weber), to whom he was married for 58 years. He is the loved and respected father of Michael Litwiller and his wife Janice of Waterloo, Kim and her husband Don Bowman of Toronto, Kevin Litwiller and his wife Sandra of Kitchener and Maureen Litwiller of Waterloo. Wally will be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Nicole and her husband James Hruden, Christopher Litwiller and Ellysia Turnbull, Rebecca Bowman and Joshua Bowman, Ruby and Sophie Litwiller and three great-granddaughters, Cianna, Gemma and Lila. Brother of Neil Litwiller and his wife Joyce, Arlene and her husband Walter Brenneman of Kitchener, and Ray Litwiller and his wife Carol of Waterloo. He was predeceased by his parents, Barbara (Kropf) and Irvin Litwiller. Wally was employed at Waterloo Printing for 30 years. In 1977 he became the owner and operated the business for an additional 17 years. He retired in 1994. He was an active member of Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church where he sang in the choir from the age of 17 until his last practice a week ago. He also sang in the Grand Philharmonic Choir and was a member of Westmount Golf and Country Club. A special place for Wally was the family cottage at Diamond Lake near Bancroft. Cherished father of Kevin (Wendy) of Australia and Brenda Kersey (Rob) of Princeton. Beloved grandfather of Alanna, Chad, Matt, Josh, Brandon, Keenan (Lynea) and Shelby and great-grandson Sebastian. Survived by his sister Berenice Herrfort (and the late Al), brother Ron (Brenda), stepsister Irene Jutzi (Robert) and stepbrother Wilson Cook (Joyce). Loving brother-in-law of John Kuepfer, Dianne Robinson (Bob), Blanche Sebert and Bernie Koebel (Kathy). Godfather of Shelby, Terry and Sheri. Best friend of Ron and Marilyn and Keith and Betty. Predeceased by his sisters Kelsey Kuepfer and Shirley Hergott and brother Bruce Kropf. Art will be dearly missed by his extended family, many dear friends and former co-workers. Art worked for over 38 years for Maple Lane Dairy in Kitchener followed by a short stint with Norris Bakery. He worked up until retirement with Little Falls Car Wash in St. Mary's. In his spare time, Art loved to make a bottle of wine, wash his beloved Lincoln or go fishing or camping. Friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A prayer and vigil service will be held Friday at 8: 45 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 17 Washington Street, Paris on Saturday February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. Father Mike Bennett will officiate. In accordance with Art's wishes, cremation has already taken place. In Art's memory, donations to Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
