    Notes:

    Mrs. William McHutchion - After being ill for a lengthy period, the death occurred here on Thursday of Elizabeth Stewart, widow of the late William McHutchion, in her 79th year. Deceased was born in Paris, but spent her girlhood days in Greenfield, where her father, the late Erskine Stewart, was foreman cooper at the Goldie cooper shop, where some 12 coopers were employed in the early days. She was united in marriage to William McHutchion, also a cooper at the Goldie shop. Mr. McHutchion later went into the bakery business and kept shop in Comber and other towns. After his demise Mrs. McHutchion returned to Ayr and resided with her sister, Mrs. Finlayson, next to the Ayr News office. Upon her sister's death and after the sale of the Finlayson property, she removed to the residence on Hall street where her death occurred. In religion she was a Presbyterian. She is survived by one brother, Peter Stewart, who resided with her. The funeral took place to the Ayr Cemetery on Saturday afternoon. Rev. J. W. Currier had charge of the services and the pallbearers were H. E. Gerbig, S. W. Gillespie, Hugh Paterson, Chris Leiska, Thomas Hall and Thomas Hope. During the service Geo. W. Dawson of Brantford recited an appropriate verse.
