He resided at Nithview Home, New Hamburg and was formerly of Detroit and Florida. Son of the late John Schaefer and the former Susan Wahl. Predeceased by his wife, Alfretta (Alfie) Miller, December 14, 1973. Survived by one brother Harry of Kitchener, two Sisters, Verda (Mrs. Clarence Meyers) of New Hamburg, Ada (Mrs. Wilfred Stahle) of Waterloo. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Arthur and Otto. Resting at the Mark-Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg Chapel, 291 Huron St. after 2 p.m. Saturday and until Monday, where service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. L. S. Van Mossel officiating. Interment in Fairmount Cemetery Baden.

    Otto Schaefer - Otto Schaefer, 62, of 296 King St. East died Wednesday at K-W hospital. He was born April 7, 1901, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Peter Schaefer, and spent his whole life in this area. He worked for J. A. Lang and Sons and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Petersburg. He is survived by three brothers, Arthur of Warren Mich. Victor of Grosse Point Woods, Mich, and Harry of Petersburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Verda) Myers of New Hamburg and Mrs. Wilfred (Ada) Stahle of Conestogo. The body is at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home until Saturday at 1 p.m. when it will be moved to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg. Rev. Ronald Reisdorf will officiate for services at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery.

    ALLENDORF, Carol Ann (nee Stahle) Passed away at Lisaard House, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer, on Friday January 13, 2017 at the age of 80. Beloved partner and best friend of Bob Ballantine for 30 years. Dear mother of Alan (Lori-Ann), John (Kim) and David (Corinne). "Grandma Carol" to Eric, Cameron (Amanda), Morgan and Dane and great-grandmother of twin boys Elliott and Theodore. Special grandma to Abbey and Christian. Predeceased by parents Wilfred and Ada Stahle and brother Bruce. Dear sister of Jean Uhrig (late George), Wayne (Bertha) and Jim (Anne). Loving goddaughter and niece of Edna Johnston. Carol is survived by many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Lisaard House, in particular "Queen" Elizabeth, Katie and Sue. Carol's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 9: 30-10: 45 a.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener (519) 749-8467.
