    Lorne passed away at Nithview Home in New Hamburg. Lorne was born in Wellesley Township the son of the late John R. Lichty and the late Mary Nafziger. He was a member of the Mornington Amish Mennonite Church Poole West. Mr. Lichty farmed in Mornington and Wellesley Townships, retiring in 1967. He was a rural mail carrier for 18 years and has been a resident of Nithview since 1991. Predeceased by his dear wife Laura Lichty (2000); by a son Raymond Lichty (1970); also by three brothers, John, Ervin and Ivan and brothers-in-law, Earl Kropf, Jonas Zehr and Henry Horst.

    Of 153 Eby St., Cambridge, on Monday, July 28, 1986, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Florence Trickett; loving son of John Lichty of Poole, Ont., dear father of Richard of Brantford, David of Edmonton, Alta., Robert of Vancouver, BC., Donald, Gary, Kenneth and Mrs. Linda Johnston, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren; four brothers, Lorne of Millbank, John of Arizona, Noah and Samuel, both of Magnetville, Ont. and two sisters, Vera (Mrs. Henry Horst) of Milverton and Mrs. Selina Zehr of Poole. Mr. Lichty was born in Wellesley township and resided in Cambridge, for the past 40 years. He was a retired employee of Hostess Food Products Ltd. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends today (Tuesday), 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday, July 31, at 2 p.m. Interment Parklawn cemetery.

    Notes:

    Raymond Lichty of 116 Conway Drive died Saturday at K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was 25.

    He was born at Millbank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Lichty, and lived in the Twin Cities for 31/2 years. He was an accountant with the Ontario Motor League until he became sick in February.

    Mr. Lichty was a member of First Mennonite Church and the church council and was youth Sunday school superintendent. He received his secondary school diploma from the Adult Education Centre in Waterloo and completed one year of the certified general accountancy course.

    Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Dorothy Cressman whom he married June 11, 1966; a son, Roger, and a daughter, Tania, both at home; four brothers, Melvin of Stratford, Delmer of Millbank, Laverne and Ivan, both of Kitchener; one sister, Florence of Kitchener, and paternal grandfather.     The body will be at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Tuesday when removal will be made to First Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Donations to the church mission fund will be accepted as expressions of sympathy

    Lichty, Raymond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Lichty, was born at Millbank, Ont., died at the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Mar 7, 1970, following a brief illness; aged 25 y. On June 11, 1966, he was married to Dorothy Cressman, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Roger), one daughter (Tania), 4 brothers (Melvin, Delmer, Laverne, and Ivan), one sister (Florence), and grandfather (John Lichty). He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, where funeral services were held Mar. 10, with Robert Johnson and David Jantzi officiating.

    On October 14, 2014 at the age of 60, Gary passed away surrounded by his family. Gary was a man of great strength and courage. He had an amazing ability to have a ready smile. Husband of Theresa. Father of Angel and Scott (Val). Grandpa of Aaron and Ayden. Brother of Richard (Violet), Donald, David (Predeceased), Linda (Steve), Bobby and Ken. Brother-in-law of Larry, Stephen (Irene). Extended brother-in-law of Michael, Chris (Tammy), David (Sherri). Uncle to Jake (Connie), Tammy (Jared), Derek (Theresa), Todd (Andrea), Tabitha, Jennifer, Melissa (Paul), Stephenie, Brian, Brittany and their families. Gary will be remembered by his many friends and extended family. Gary was a self sacrificing man who will forever be in our hearts. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 2 p.m., until time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Cremation has taken place.

    Kropf, Rose Marie - Suddenly, on Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at her home, 135 Brunswick St., Stratford, formerly of Wellesley. Rose Marie was born in Kitchener 41 years ago, a daughter of the late Earl Kropf and is lovingly remembered by her mother, Selina Lichty (Zehr) of Milverton. She was a member of the Milverton Conservative Mennonite Church and was employed with the Festival City Nursery. Survived by three brothers, James Kropf of Sudbury, John Kropf of Kitchener and Peter and his wife Judy Kropf of Parry Sound. Lovingly remembered by her sister, Ruth Ann and her husband Larry Striecher of Tara. Also survived by three step-brothers and one step-sister. She also leaves a number of precious friends in the Stratford and district area and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a step-father, Jonas Zehr. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends today (Wednesday), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 8: 30 a.m. Thursday removal will be made to Milverton Conservative Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 10 a.m. Rev. Ralph Gerber and Rev. Dan Gascho will officiate. Internment will follow in Bethel Conservative Mennonite cemetery, Millbank. Memorials to the Stratford Association of Community Living or to the Guatemala Missions would be appreciated by the family for the late Rose Marie Kropf.

    Son of Selina Zehr & Earl Kropf (predeceased). Loving husband of Carrie, and predeceased by his first wife Elaine (2003). Much loved father of Dennis (Connie), Ruthanne MacDonald (Blair) and Beth Howe (Rick), and step father of Melissa (Shawn), Matthew, Tammy (Guy), Danny (Risa) and Jamie. Survived by his brothers Peter (Judy) and John and by his sister Ruth-Ann (Mike), predeceased by his sister Rose Marie. Dear brother in law of David (Denise), John, Mary-Anne (Larry) and Brian (Earla). Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim was a transport driver for 30 years, working with Bison for the last 14. You could always find him in his shed where he loved working on his quad and beloved 1939 tractor. He was a devoted member to the Sudbury Moose Lodge #230 for 20 years. He loved spending time with his family, hosting barbecues and entertaining. He was loved by everyone he met and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, ON Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 at 1: 00 P.M. (Friends may gather after 11: 00 A.M. on Wednesday).
