    Mrs. Emma Meisel - Wilmot Centre, Aug 23 - Mrs. Emma Meisel, 74, relict of the late Jacob Meisel, died early today at her home here. Born in Wilmot Centre, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Battler, she lived her entire life here. Mrs. Meisel attended the Evangelical Church. Surviving are four sons, Edmund of Bridgeport, Rufus of Preston, Ervin and Lorne at home; four daughters, Mrs. Herman Witzel of Kitchener, Mrs. W.B. Otto of South Easthope, Mrs. Charles Pauli of Wilmot Township and Miss Rose at home; three brothers, Ervin of Williamsburg, Wesley of Blenheim Township, and Allan of Wilmot Centre; two sisters, Mrs. Amos Clemens of Petoskey, Mich., and Mrs. William Sherk of Ayr. The funeral will be held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon with services at her late residence, thence to the Evangelical church for services at 2: 30 o'clock. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.

    Mrs. Emma Meisel

    WILMOT CENTRE.- A native of Wilmot Centre, Mrs. Emma Meisel, relict of the late Jacob Meisel, died at her home, here, Tuesday. She was in her 75th year. Deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Battler. She attended the Evangelical Church.

    She is survived by four sons, Edmund, of Bridgeport, Rufus, of Preston, Ervin and Lorne, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Herman Witzel of Kitchener, Mrs. W. B. Otto of South Easthope, Mrs. Charles Pauli, of Wilmot township, and Miss Rose, at home; three brothers, Ervin of Williamsburg, Wesley of Blenheim township, and Allan, of Wilmot Centre; two sisters, Mrs. Amos Clemens of Petoskey, Mich., and Mrs. William Sherk of Ayr.

    The funeral was held Wednesday, interment being made in the cemetery adjoining the Evangelical Church, Wilmot Centre.

    Edmund Meisel - an employee of Canada Barrels and Kegs, Ltd., of Waterloo for the past eight years, Edmund Meisel, 70, of 44 Woolwich St., Bridgeport collapsed and died on the street in Bridgeport yesterday. A native of Wilmot Centre, he had lived in Bridgeport for the past 45 years. He was employed several years by Shirk and Snider, Ltd., flour millers. A member of Emmanuel Evangelical UB Church, Bridgeport, he was formerly a trustee of the church and a teacher in the Sunday School. Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Rose, whom he married in 1912; one brother, Lorne Meisel, Wilmot Centre; and four sisters, Rose Meisel of Kitchener; Mrs. Herman (Agnes) Witzel of Kitchener; Mrs. William (Mabel) Otto of Shakespeare and Mrs. Charles (Effie) Pauli of New Hamburg. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. C.B. Heckendorn officiating. Burial will be in Bridgeport Memorial Cemetery.

    Rufus Meisel, 52, of 60 Highland Road, passed away early this morning at St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Meisel had not been enjoying good health for the past few weeks but death was most unexpected. A salesman for Shirk and Snider Ltd., he had carried on his usual activities yesterday and was out to dinner with friends last night. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Meisel, he had resided in Preston 33 years before coming to Kitchener. He attended Trinity United Church.
    Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Meyers, Preston, Miss Doris, Toronto, and Miss Grace, at home; three brothers, Edmund, Bridgeport and Ervin and Lorne, Wilmot Centre; and four sisters, Miss Rose Meisel and Mrs. Herman Witzel, Kitchener and Mrs. William Otto and Mrs. Charles Pauli, New Hamburg.
    Funeral Service will be held Saturday at two o'clock at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Rev. E. O. Seymour, pastor of Trinity Church, officiating. Internment will be in Woodland Cemetery. The remains are resting at the funeral home.

    Died peacefully in her sleep, after a short illness, at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at the age of 85 years. Audrey was a lifelong resident of Kitchener.

    She was a longtime member of Trinity United Church and until retirement was a dedicated employee of Merchants Rubber.
    Dear aunt of Sandy & Joyce Fraser and Judy Collins. Audrey will be missed by her many friends.
    Predeceased by her parents, Herman & Agnes (Meisel) Witzel and her sister, Verna Fraser.
    At Audreys' request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

    She will be buried in Woodland Cemetery with her parents.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary's Hospital or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener.
