    Jutzi.- Amos, Millbank, Ont., son of Christian Jutzi, died at the Stratford General Hospital, Feb. 14, 1972; aged 80 y. He was married to Lydia Jantzi, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Amos, George, Roy, and Jacob), 7 daughters (Clara, Laura-Mrs. Alfred Rathbone, Sarah-Mrs. Keith Maloney, Mary-Mrs. Arthur Roth, Margaret, Mildred-Mrs. Ralph Brenneman. and Martha-Mrs. Donald Ropp), 29 grandchildren, one brother (Samuel), and one sister (Catherine-Mrs. Solomon Kipfer). A memorial service was held at the Milverton Conservative Mennonite Church Feb. 20; the body was donated to medical science.

    Kipfer.- Catherine, daughter of Christian and Annie (Roth) Jutzi, was born in Perth Co., Ont., Feb. 17, 1894; died of a heart attack at the Stratford General Hospital, Oct. 28, 1972; aged 78 y. 8 m. 11 d. In April 1932, she was married to Solomon Kipfer, who preceded her in death in October 1963. Surviving are 3 stepdaughters (Florence-Mrs. Sam Boshart, Sylvia-Mrs. David Schwartzentruber, and Sarah-Mrs. Menno Steckley). She was a member of the Poole Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct. 31, in charge of Amsey Martin; interment in the Poole Mennonite Cemetery.

    JUTZI, Amos -- Died on Sunday July 31 1994, in Plain City, Ohio. He was born in Wellesley Township, March 7, 1926, a son of the late Amos and Lydia (Jantzi) Jutzi. Beloved husband of Edith Nafziger whom he married in 1948. Loving father of Paul and his wife Priscella of Pennsylvania, Beverly and her husband Sam Groff of South Carolina, Don and his wife Pam of Minnesota, Mary Jane and her husband Cecil Schwartzentruber, Bob and his wife Debbie, all of Ohio. Loving remembered by 13 grandchildren; three brothers George and his wife Grace of Brussels, Roy of Edmonton, Alta., Jake and his wife Grace Jutzi of Waterloo; seven sisters, Clara and Margaret both of Kitchener, Laura and her husband Alf Rathbone of Barriere, B.C., Sarah and her husband Keith Maloney of Armstrong, B.C., Mary and her husband Art Roth of New Hamburg, Mildred and her husband Ralph Brenneman of Wellesley, Martha and her husband Don Ropp of Millbank. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 1994 in Plain City, Ohio.

    JUTZI, Clara 1927 - 2012 Passed away at Parkwood Mennonite Home Retirement Suites in Waterloo on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the age of 85. Clara is survived by her siblings, George (Grace) Jutzi, Laura Rathbone, Sarah Maloney, Mary Roth, Roy Jutzi, Margaret Jutzi, Jacob (Grace) Jutzi, Mildred (Ralph) Brenneman, and Martha (Donald) Ropp. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grandnephews. Clara is fondly remembered by the Wells family with whom she boarded while attending Rockway Mennonite School and with whom she has kept in contact since then. Predeceased by her parents, Amos and Lydia (Jantzi) Jutzi; brother, Amos Jr. (1994); brothers-in-law, Alf Rathbone, Arthur Roth, Keith Maloney; nephews, James Rathbone and Bruce Rathbone; and great-nephews, Jerry Groff and Craig Jutzi. Clara graduated from K-W Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and received midwifery training in England from 1960 - 1961. She was a Registered Nurse in various locations: Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Galt Hospital, K-W Hospital and volunteer service in Puerto Rico and Kentucky. By confession of faith, she became a member of Poole Mennonite Church at the age of 14 and transferred her membership to First Mennonite Church, Kitchener in 1981. Clara's special interests and hobbies included knitting, gardening, and volunteering with the Women's Missionary Society at First Mennonite, the Rockway Thrift Shop, and RAISE Home Support. She was also a member of the Ontario Mennonite Historical Society. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2: 30 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener with Rev. Nancy Brubaker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1: 30 - 2: 15 p.m. A reception will follow the service in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the C.N.I.B. would be gratefully accepted by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
