    Boshart, Victoria, daughter of Isaac and Katherine (Litwiller) Wagler, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., May 24, 1898; died at her home near Baden, Ont., Nov. 22, 1971; aged 73 y. 5 m. 29 d. In 1920 she was married to Noah Boshart, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Elroy, Orlin, and Melvin), 2 daughters (Dorothy and Verna - Mrs. Christ Wagler), 11 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Elmer and Ervin), and 6 sisters (Katie - Mrs. John Leis, Magdelene - Mrs. Elmer Schwartzentruber, Sarah - Mrs. Eli Zehr, Vera - Mrs. Eric Schulz, Verna - Mrs. Ervin Zehr, and Laura - Mrs. Jonas Wagler). One brother and one sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Steinman Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Nov. 25, in charge of Orland Gingerich, Emanuel Steinman, and Moses H. Roth; interment in Steinman Mennonite Church Cemetery.

    BOSHART, Victoria (Wagler) 1971 Of R.R.2, Baden, passed away at her residence, Nov. 22, 1971; born in Wilmot Township, age 73 years; former Victoria Wagler, daughter of the late Isaac and Catherine Wagler. Surviving are her husband, three sons, Elroy, New Hamburg; Orlin, R.R. 2, Baden and Melvin, Crosshill; two daughters, Dorothy, R.R. 2, Baden and Verna (Mrs. Chris Wagler), R.R.2 Baden; two brothers, Elmer, Baden; Irvin, St. Agatha; sisters, Laura (Mrs. Jonas Wagler), Parkhill; Catherine (Mrs. John Leis), New Hamburg; Magdeline (Mrs. Elmer Schwartzentruber), Route 2, Baden; Sarah (Mrs. Eli Zehr), New Hamburg; Verna (Mrs. Irvin Zehr), Tavistock; Vera (Mrs. Eric Schulz), Kitchener; 11 grandchildren also survive and was predeceased by one sister and one brother.     WELLESLEY-Mrs. John Dietz of RR 1, Brunner, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener after a brief illness. She was 68.

    The former Ida Wagler, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Wagler. She was born in Wilmot Township and was a member of the St. Agatha Mennonite Church and the Women's Auxiliary. She had lived in Brunner the past three years.

    Mrs. Ditz was predeceased by her husband and by one brother, Simon.

    Surviving are two sons, Earl and Clare both of Brunner; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Magdaline) Heyer of New Hamburg; two brothers, Elmer of Baden and Irvin of St. Agatha; seven sisters, Mrs. Noah (Victoria) Boshart and Mrs. Elmer (Magdaline) Schwartzentruber, both of Baden, Mrs. John (Catherine) Leis and Mrs. Eli (Sarah) Zehr both of New Hamburg, Mrs. Eric Vera Schulz of Kitchener, Mrs. Erwin (Verna) Zehr of Milverton, Mrs. Jonas (Laura) Wagler of Parkhill; and four grandchildren.

    The body is at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to St. Agatha Mennonite Church for service at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber will officiate. Expressions of sympathy may be shown by donations to the Western Ontario Mennonite Mission Board.

    She was born in Wilmot township 90 years ago, a daughter of the late Isaac and Catherine (Litwiller) Wagler and was formerly of RR 2, Baden. She was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden, where she had been a member and past president of the WMSC. She had been involved with the Gospel Echoes Prison Ministry and had taught summer bible school for many years.
    Faithful and loving wife of Pastor Elmer Schwartzentruber for 66 years and with whom she shared in ministry for over 50 years. Loving mother of Fern and her husband Carl Erb of Baden, Mary and her husband Mel Otterbein, Carol Joy and her husband Alec Purves, all of Kitchener, Ruth and her husband Rick Umble of Atglen, PA. Also remembered by 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Zehr and Vera Schulz, both of New Hamburg; brother-in-law, Ervin Zehr of Tavistock and two sisters-in-law, Orillia Wagler of Kitchener and Lavina Swartzentruber of New Hamburg.
    Mattie was predeceased by two grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer, Ervin, Simeon and five sisters, Victoria Boshart, Ida Dietz, Catherine Leis, Verna Zehr and Laura Wagler.
    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A family committal service will be held at Steinmann Mennonite Cemetery on Wednesday, August 14, 1996 at 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at Steinmann Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Herb Schultz and Pastor Ingrid Loepp-Thiessen officiating.

    Wagler, Mrs. Laura \endash On Monday, Feb. 22, 1993, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Laura Wagler, of New Hamburg.

    She was formerly of Parkhill and was born in Wilmot township 76 years ago, a daughter of the late Isaac and Catherine (nee Litwiller) Wagler. She had worked at Nithview Home prior to retirement and was a member of Steinmann Mennonite church, RR 2, Baden, where she was a member of the WMSC. Laura and Jonas were involved in Prison Ministries and were members and supporters of Truck Stop Evangelism Ministries.

    Beloved wife of Jonas Wagler whom she married July 26, 1936. Loving mother of Myrtle and her husband Robert Davies of London, Ont., Elaine and her husband Abe Stouffer of Woodville, Delores and her husband Daniel Euler, Marylou and her husband Claude Phaneuf, all of Morinville, Alta. Lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mattie and her husband Pastor Elmer Schwartzentruber, Sarah (Mr. Eli Zehr), all of New Hamburg and Vera (Mrs. Eric Schulz) of Kitchener. Also missed by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Orillia Wagler of St. Agatha and one brother-in-law, Ervin Zehr of Tavistock.

    Laura was predeceased by a number of brothers and sisers, Victoria (Mrs. Noah Boshart), Elmer Wagler, Ida (Mrs. John Dietz), Catherine (Mrs. John Leis), Elvin Wagler, Mrs. Verna (Ervin) Zehr and Simeon in infancy.

    BARTMAN, Catherine Magdelena Leis - Our dear Mother passed away on July 18, 2007 at Nithview Home, New Hamburg. Catherine was born in Wellesley, Ontario on June 16, 1929 and was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Wagler) Leis. She moved to Toronto as a young woman where she trained at St. Michael's Hospital and became a Registered Nurse. For many years she worked at St. Michael's Hospital Emergency Department and later at The Hospital for Sick Children. Catherine also worked at Nursing Homes in Toronto, Kitchener and finally in Palliative Care. Loving mother to her three daughters, Julia (Martin) Libling of Phoenix, AZ, Martha (Tobias) Heyworth of Havelock and Sandra Bartman of Waterloo. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Kathryn and Adam Libling. Dear sister of Erma and Ervin Steinmann and Florence and Harold McFarlane all of New Hamburg and sister-in-law to Arvilla Leis of Tavistock and Jean Leis of Kitchener. Also remembered by Melvin Bartman of Dorset, Gordon Bartman of Willowdale and Doreen Hodgins of Powasson. Catherine was predeceased by her brothers, Vernon and Ralph Leis and brother-in-law, Wilbert Bartman.     The Rev. Vernon Roy Leis 60, of 39 Wellington Street, Tavistock passed away in Wilmot Township, Waterloo County on Saturday, February 26, 1994. Rev. Leis was born at Petersburg on November 23, 1933 a son of the late John Leis and the former Catherine Wagler. He was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College, Harrisonburg, Virginia Goshen Biblical Seminary and the University of St. Michael's College, Toronto. He had served as minister of Blenheim Mennonite Church 1961 -1966, Elmira Mennonite Church 1966-1980, Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church Kitchener 1980-1988 and East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line from August 1988 until the time of his death. He was a former moderator of the Mennonite Conference of Eastern Canada and had served the Mennonite Conference of Eastern Canada and served the Mennonite Church in numerous other capacities. Rev. Leis is survived by his wife the former Arvilla Annie Schultz whom he married at Poole on July 2, 1955; four sons, Timothy and wife Anne Leis of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; James Leis of Carrboro, North Carolina; Paul and wife Marilyn Leis of RR 1, Elmwood; David Leis and wife Cheryl Nafziger-Leis of Elmira; one daughter, Katherine and husband Charles Bender of New Hamburg; six grandchildren, Karen, Jerome, Marina and Benjamin Leis of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Brandon and Kristin Leis of RR1, Elmwood; three sisters, Catherine Bartman of Waterloo, Erma and husband Ervin Steinmann of New Hamburg; Florence and husband Harold MacFarlane of New Hamburg; one brother, Ralph and wife Jean Leis of Kitchener; his mother-in-law Katie Schultz of Milverton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Betty and Joseph Grove of Hanover, Shirley and Herbert Schultz of Cambridge and John Schultz of New Hamburg.     Harold Schultz, 32, died Saturday at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

    He was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Kitchener, a son of Mr and Mrs. Eric Schultz.

    Mr. Schultz was a member of Faith Baptist Church, New Hamburg.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Jean Ross; one son, Paul Bradley and one daughter Valerie Ann, both of Kitchener; one brother Dennis of Kitchener and four sisters, Mrs. Merlin (Dorine) Kropf of Fergus; Mrs. John (Marylin) Schuller of Kitchener; Mrs. Paul (Arleen) Meyers of Kitchener and Mrs. Larry (Joan) Keiswetter of St. Clements.

    Services were held on Tuesday at Steinman s Mennonite Church, Wilmot Township. Burial took place in the church cemetery.

    SCHULTZ, Valerie Ann Passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Valerie resided in Kitchener and was formerly of New Hamburg. She was born 44 years ago in Kitchener.

    Sadly missed by her special friend of 17 years, Paul Lucas. Beloved daughter of Jean (Roth) Schultz of New Hamburg and the late Harold Schultz.

    Remembered by her brother Paul Schultz of Newfoundland, her nephew Joshua and niece Julianne. Also missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Valerie was predeceased by her grandparents Solomon and Alma Roth and Eric and Vera Schulz. Valerie fought a courageous fight against Cystic Fibrosis and never complained.

    Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ilene Bergen officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date in Steinmann Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
