    SAMUEL SARARUS - By Record Correspondent - New Dundee, Oct. 11 - The death of Samuel Sararus, 74, well-known resident of Wilmot township, occurred at his home this morning. Mr. Sararus was born in Blenheim Township on June 22, 1861, and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sararus; in 1893 he was married to Minnie Roth. He farmed all his life on the farm where he passed away. The Deceased is survived by two daughters and three sons, Mrs. Clayton Toman and Mrs. Victor Dinger, both of New Dundee; Wilfred, Rockanville, Sask.; Noah, Detroit, and William at home. He was predeceased by his wife in April 1930. There also survive, two sisters, Mrs. Charles Appel, New Hamburg, and Mrs. Ephraim Hallman, New Dundee. Mr. Sararus was a member of the New Dundee Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at the church Monday afternoon following a brief service at the home at two o'clock. Interment will be made in Union Cemetery, New Dundee. Rev. H.F. Sotudo? will conduct the services.

    NEW HAMBURG - Mrs. Roy Hagey, of 295 Peel St.. New Hamburg, died Tuesday at her home after a brief illness.
    Mrs. Hagey, the former Idella Appel, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Appel, was born in South Easthope Township.
    She was a member of the New Hamburg Baptist Church.

    Surviving are her husband. Roy, two sons, Ralph of Kitchener and Kenneth, of Monroe. Mich. one daughter. Alice. at home and five grandchildren.

    The body is at the Bruce J Omand Funeral Home. New Hamburg, where service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. H. Edwards of Woodstock, former New Hamburg minister, officiating.

    Burial will be in the Hagey Mennonite cemetery. Preston.

Mr. Sararus was born October 29, 1910 in Blenheim Township on the farm which he later farmed for many years. He was a member of the New Dundee United Brethren in Christ Church, where he was a former lay leader, Sunday school teacher, member of the church choir and Harmonica Band and was also a member of the Adult Christian Endeavour Society. Mr. Sararus was also a former president and director of the Ayr Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Company and a member of the New Dundee Board of Trade. Beloved husband of Miriam (nee Hilborn) Sararus; loving father of Vaughn and her husband George Waddle of New Hamburg, Lynn and his wife Marilyn and Brian and his wife Carol, all of RR 1, New Dundee and Brad and his wife Glori of Guelph; much loved grandfather of Cathy Scheerer, Anne Moser, Eric, John, Dean and Rhonda Stemmler, Jane Anne and David Sararus, Dion, Adam and April Dawn Sararus and Larkin Sararus and Morgan and Sonnet Rosato.     With heavy hearts the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home in New Hamburg in his 80th year. Alvin was formerly of New Dundee and was the son of the late Samuel and Lillian (Parker) Sararas. Beloved husband of Audrey (Swartzentruber) Sararas with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Loving father of Steve and Debbie Sararas of Waterloo and Michele Sararas of Guelph. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Sam, Amanda and Natange. Remembered by his twin brother Andrew and Helen Sararas of St. Agatha, sister Sylvia Sararas of New Hamburg and sister-in-law Cora Sinstead of Aberfoyle. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Alvin was predeceased by a daughter Sheri Ann and brother-in-law Ronel Sinstead. Alvin was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Petersburg, the New Dundee Board of Trade and Maple Heights Seniors Residence. Alvin was Post Master in New Dundee for over thirty years.     Andy passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving family on Tuesday February 13, 2018, at the age of 80. Loving husband of Helen (nee Swartzentruber) for 55 years. Devoted and cherished father of Lisa Norley (the late Sean Norley 2008) and Jeff Sararas (Lori Thompson). Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Kelven Nantais) and Ryan Norley and Jack Sararas. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Sylvia Sararas, sisters-in-law Rev. Cora Sinstead (the late Rev. Ronel Sinstead 2007) and Audrey Sararas (the late Alvin Sararas 2017, twin brother to Andy), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    Andy resided in St. Agatha, creating loving memories with his family and actively serving the community for many years. He was a longtime member of Unity Church, Kitchener.

    He was born in the town of Rocanville, Saskatchewan to his parents Wilfrid and Lillian (nee Parker) Sararas. They returned to the family farm in New Dundee when he was 5 years of age. The farm today is now the home of the Dundee Golf and Country Club of which Andy was a founding and lifelong member. He spent his entire sales career in the office furniture business, starting out at Sunar in 1956. He continued to serve his many loyal R.C. Dawson customers in the Southwestern Ontario region for over 40 years.

    Andy was an avid athlete throughout his whole life, playing hockey and golf well into his seventies. He played Junior B hockey with the Waterloo Siskins and was scouted by the Montreal Canadiens. He played Kitchener Intercity Fastball, and was later known for his pitching arm in various other leagues. He finished his sports career on the golf course, where he found joy and camaraderie with life-long friends.

    Friends are invited to share their memories of Andy with his family during Visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Cora Sinstead officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg at a later date.

Ken died on the eve of his 70th Wedding Anniversary, with loving family by his side. He taught them a love of God, sport, the outdoors and the value of treating others well. At Ken's request, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Daniel Roman Catholic Church, 29 Midland Drive, Kitchener at 11:00 a.m. on June 16, 2012 with a reception to follow in the church hall. He attended Nine Pines Public School. On December 3, 1940, Len started working at the Canadian Blower and Forge where he rose through ranks to eventually become General Foreman. He retired February 24, 1984 after 43 years of service. On January 16, 1943, he married Jean Bomburger who passed away August 25, 1970. On June 22, 1971, Len married Ruth Schiedel (Perrin) until her passing November 22, 2008. Len was a member of Bridgeport United Church for over 65 years and will be sadly missed by both family and friends.     :Passed away peacefully, at home in the care of the family she loved so much on Wednesday, May 30 2012 in her 90th year.
    Daughter of the late Cranson & Ella Hallman (Heckendon) and step-mom Beulah Hallman (Becker). Myrle was predeceased by husband Mervin, brothers Warren and Gerald and sons Glen and Garnet.

    Sadly missed by her family Murray (Pat), Marlin, Audrey (Joe), Fay, Walter (Cecelia), Lynn (Vicky), Donald (Donna), Bruce, Ruth Ann (Norm), Joan (Gary), Cheryl (Ron) Kathryn (Rodney) and Laurel (Victor). Survived by brothers Glen, Barry and sister Shirley. She will be missed by her 24 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Myrle was a life resident of the New Dundee and Roseville area and a member of the Roseville United Brethren Church. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, quilting and knitting.

    Family and friends are invited to visit at the Roseville United Brethren Church 2729 Fisher-Hallman Rd. RR1, Ayr Roseville, ON N0B 2E0 (519) 696-3005 on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 2 '964 and 7 '969 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Roseville United Brethren Church on Saturday, June 2 at 11: 00 a.m. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, New Dundee.     TOMAN, William Cloyce Christian Age 86 of Winnsboro, TX, went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2012. He was born in Blenheim Township, Ontario, Canada on November 21, 1925 to the late Hubert and Edith Rosenberger Toman. Cloyce is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Gertrude Toman of Winnsboro; sons, Loren Cloyce Toman and wife Kathy of Euless, and Glen William Toman and wife Becky of Midlothian; grandchildren, Christopher Toman, Adam Toman, Emily Toman, and Jared Toman; and great-grand- daughters, Julianne Toman and Sonny Claire Toman. He is also survived by brothers, Murray Toman and Nyal Toman, and a sister, Isabelle McEachern; all of Canada. He was preceded in death by his sister, Verna Koerber. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Winnsboro, 200 W.
